really nice heavy paper towel holder
This is a nice heavy paper towel holder. The base is weighted so it’s not going to tip over. The bottom of the base is completely covered with a rubbery type of covering to help it grip the countertop. The pole that holds the paper towels is longer than my previous paper towel holder. This one is over 15 & a third inches tall with an almost 6-inch diameter base & it has a really nice “crystal ball” to top it off. Very unique looking. The color inside each crystal ball matches the color hold you choose. It screwed together very easily no cross threading either. Threads at the base to thread the pole onto are not those tiny little threads that so easily become cross threaded. These are substantial & everything is very well made. This would be a nice gift to match the color of the handles & knobs in the kitchen. If they have chrome get the silver one, if brass or gold get the gold, & of course if they have black or gunmetal get the black one. Easy to match & or coordinate. I personally love the black it has a look of polishes wrought iron. The silver is a classic look & the gold is the high-class rich look. I do like them all. The price is amazing at just under $20 for a sturdy paper towel holder that is not going to break on you. With it being a longer pole it makes it easy to grab it to take it to another room or out by all the good BBQ in the summertime… highly recommend this item.

Absolutely gorgeous!
I ordinarily get weary of Amazon items being in multiple pieces to make shipping more compact, but I have to say this one is fantastic to be able to unscrew the pole from the base if necessary for travel or gifting. It has a long enough thread casing to create good post strength and stability. The glitter ball at the top also screws on tight and secure, and doesn't need to be twisted off in order to get the roll of paper towels on. The gold color is a very pretty champagne gold, making this a neutral choice for multiple decor colors.I LOVE this and it is now my favorite of all of my paper towel holders. I have many of them around the house and in my greenhouse and shed (some hanging styles, but mostly countertop). I only had one other weighted base, which I bought locally a few years ago for close to the same cost as this gold one. However, it was more basic and utilitarian in appearance, whereas this one is spelled "F-A-N-C-Y" with such a ritzy appearance. I am using this in my Victorian inspired bathroom rather than kitchen, and it is perfect near the sink. No worries of the stand tipping over when I go to tear off a section of paper towel.I can easily recommend this for value, weight, and aesthetics! :)

Easy to assemble and cute
This paper towel holder comes in a nice gold color with a mostly beautiful gold ball on top. The holder is quite easy to assemble, arriving in three sections that you twist together to tighten. The holder fit my paper towels without issue, in fact I think the design is a little tall compared to most paper towels I've seen. So you will have a bit of space between the top of the paper towel roll and the gold ball at the top. It doesn't look bad, but it probably would have looked nicer if there wasn't as much space on top from a visual perspective. Maybe there are other rolls that are wider and it's for wider compatibility, but I"m not sure. Overall I like it a lot and think it's good quality. Mine did not have any flaws or damage. It's a good value for the money. Recommended.

Beautiful but tall pole
This is a beautiful paper towel holder with only one drawback ... the height of the pole. First the good stuff ... the design is really attractive and since people always seem to congregate in the kitchen during dinner parties, it adds a little sparkle to the kitchen.Functionally, I really appreciate that the base is heavy enough that it doesn't tip over easily. The bottom has a non-slip surface, so it doesn't scoot on the counter when pulling off a paper towel ... especially with one hand as I often do while cooking.In my opinion, the current $19.99 price is fair for the quality, functionality and expected life span. The only drawback is the height of the pole which really stands well above the height of a standard paper towel roll. I never really thought about the fact that there is a standard height until now, but the fact that this pole is so much taller makes me wonder whether the standard in other countries is different than the U.S. Maybe it's an aesthetic that wouldn't bother everyone, so I'm not going to take off a star in my rating for that since everything else is well done.
