I spend a good amount of time in the kitchen making big meals for my two daughters, and I finally got tired of those cheap plastic strainers that feel like they're going to melt or snap. I picked up this three-piece set from Golden Key, and after using them for a few weeks, I’m giving them five stars. They are exactly what a piece of kitchen equipment should be: simple, rugged, and effective.What I like most is the build quality. These are made of solid stainless steel, so I don't have to worry about them warping when I dump a massive pot of boiling pasta water into them. The handles are sturdy and give me a good grip, which is important when you're dealing with steam and heavy loads. Having three different sizes—three, four, and five quarts—is actually very practical. I use the big one for family pasta night and the smaller one when I'm washing up some vegetables for our Maltipoo, Joy, since she’s a picky eater and gets fresh greens mixed into her food. They stack inside each other perfectly, so they don't take up a ton of room in the cabinet.There isn't much to complain about, though I did notice the mesh is fine enough that you have to give them a good scrub if you're straining something starchy like rice. They are dishwasher safe, which is how I usually handle it, but if you're washing by hand, you’ve got to be thorough. As far as value goes, getting three high-quality steel colanders for one price is a great deal. It’s a one-time purchase because these things aren't going to break or rust anytime soon. It’s refreshing to buy something that actually feels like it was built to last.

I've used these daily since I received them, and I've had no issues! It's a solid colander set, and I appreciate getting a few sizes for a good price.I usually use an old plastic colander, but it's so old, and I hate the idea of 1980s plastic melting into my food over decades so this is a healthy upgrade. They drain incredibly well, and I don't find chunks of anything in my sink afterward. The hole size is just right for the things I put through the paces.They seem very tough after a month or so of use, I'm pleased. I am concerned about some comments I've seen, and if there are any updates to the quality and durability of them I will return here and report. Otherwise, I can recommend!

Disappointed & Returning
These colanders look and feel awesome, but even after 3 washes they are leaving black residue on my food. Returning because I question the poor quality of the stainless steel. I don’t feel safe consuming the food after using these colanders.

The colander came as pictured. Package comes with 3 different sized colanders, each colander was securely packed inside. The 3 different sizes comes in handy and a good addition to the kitchen. I'm not sure how I feel about the legs of the colander though... But the colanders feels like good quality material, nice and smooth with the the holes of the colander not feeling sharp and won't cut your hand when you brush your hand over it. Colanders function as they should, and fairly easy to use and clean.
