Works well

I used these for the first time last night. I love how the different colors have a picture for what to cut on them. This is a clever way to keep your meat cutting boards separate from the veggie cutting boards. Such a great price for 4 cutting mats. They seem like they will hold up and hopefully not dull my knives. I had been using wooden cutting boards, but I didn't like cutting chicken on them. When I bought these I hadn't even noticed the little picture in the corner that indicates which cutting board is for what type of food. I like them even better now!

Better than another brand I bought from amazon

I have had these cutting mats about 2 weeks. And so far I am very impressed. I say that because I had previously bought another brand from Amazon & THE DAY I bought them my knife cut right through the mat. All of them are like that, broken in the middles where my knife sliced right through. I cook all the meals during the day so in those 2 weeks these mats have seen a lot of action. When I bought these new mats I felt the price was right but was leary that because of that price they'd be flimsy & I'd have the same problem as before. These did surprise me though. They are flexible & VERY easy to wash, the knife does not pierce through at all, I use a very sharp knife to cook with & yes it did leave some very MINIMAL cut lines but nothing like the mats I was using. Also, the mats I had before had a course texture on both sides so they would grab on to my washing cloths & have little pieces of cotton all over them after I washed them so I'd have to go through & pick all of that off, these have smooth sides with a textured side (squares) on the back for grip. And so far if the mat isnt wet the gripping side does grip well. I also really like that they are marked so you know which cutting board to cut meat, fish, veggies, they also have a small cutting board included for smaller things like nuts or Lemons. I would recommend these for sure.

Fine but flimsy

These are okay. I find them a bit thin and they still slide around on my tile countertop. I don't think the silicone backing is high quality or thick enough to actually prevent sliding. As soon as I sliced something, the slice slash appeared on the mat. Generally just disappointed - wanted something of higher quality. They do rinse off easily and they survived the dishwasher fine.

These are very nice flexible and portable cutting surfaces. The specifications indicate the thickness is over a quarter inch (0.28), but they are no where close to being that thick. Don't think the whole four pack combined is even that thick. Cutting side is smooth. Counter top side is textured. Haven't noticed any slip sliding while in use.Very satisfied with the purchase.
