This spoon has negligible bend or flex and has a unique curved slope for extra sturdiness against thick mixtures. (See photo.)It works well with thick cookie dough and holds up to scraping the bottom of a medium hot stew pot with no melting or deformation of the tip of the spoon.This is a perfect replacement for stiff wooden spoons and will be my go-to mixing spoon. It's well worth the extra expense.
Exactly as advertised.. great shape and functionality.Good quality melamine, very shiny, so far has not stained.
I have searched for a long time to find more of this spoon. They are quite versatile as well as dishwasher safe. My first purchases were from a kitchen shop in my old home time, they are holding up so well, this is a refresh for my collection.
This spoon is the best spoon I have owned. It cleans up great. It does not get hot while stirring hot food.
Long-handled melamine spoons like these are our go-to cooking spoons here. They're sturdy, useful, not terribly expensive, easy to clean, and even dishwasher safe (although we use them so often, the three we have usually end up being hand-washed so they'll be available again right away).My chief complaint about these has to do with the label stickers. You see, rather than being in a bag or small cardboard box, the spoons were shipped just as is. With barcode and ID stickers on them. Whatever the adhesive was they used to attach the stickers, it was like superglue. It took me easily half an hour to remove them completely and even then I still had to scrub with cleanser to get the last of the residue off.So in short: Spoons great. Packaging terrible. Hence the overall rating of four stars. I'd still buy them again because we originally stared out with just one of these from a few years back and I wanted at least three more in our kitchen utensils rotation. But I'd not look forward to dealing with those annoying stickers.
I received two of these spoons when I was married, 31 years ago. I still have one of those, one was lost through the years. My adult kids all say it is their favorite spoon for cooking. I realized there was a brand on the spoon, and sure enough, this is it! That spoon has lasted through nearly daily use and dishwasher cleanings for over 30 years. It is lightweight and sturdy. It’s just the right size. It’s the one everyone looks for when they are cooking at my house. How many times have I heard, “Hey Ma! Where’s the good spoon?!” hollered from the kitchen! LOL I bought some for my kids to have in their homes, and a new one for myself too. Here is the good spoon!
Love this spoon! It's bright and colorful melamine, safe to use on any surface and easy to clean. Good quality and should last for years with proper care. Perfect width and length to access the bottom of a jar of mayo or similar. Also works well to stir tall pitchers of drinks. Every kitchen should have at least one of these spoons. This one checks all the boxes!
