I'm loving it!!!
So I didn't understand all the hype around the Stanley cup and had honestly never heard of them before, but totally decided I wanted one once I saw them haha. But I didn't care about name brands or whatever, so have no problem with getting an off brand, I just wanted a gigantic cup to keep my Mountain Dew cold during the day, and that's what this does. I was using an off brand Yeti style one, so only about 22 Oz or so? Which was totally fine, but I was ready to move up to something bigger so I wasn't having to get refills as often lol. Plus I'm using that old cup for water now.Anyway, it comes with a metal straw, it's really thick and sturdy, probably be pretty dang hard to break lol, then it has a rubber cover for the straw, which idk why, but I've been using it since I got it. The straw is straight, and the rubber piece has a small bend in it to so the straw isn't just completely stick straight, which I like. The lid screws on, which is nice and makes it a lot harder for it to bust open or something. The opening in the lid seems nice and big, but I've only ever used the straw so no idea what it's like to drink from. It's got a rubber piece you can use to close it, and then it pops off and you turn it so it's not in the way when you want to drink from it. I personally keep mine open at all times, especially since I have the straw on, but it seems like it's a nice seal and not too easy to break or have pop off, so again seems like it'd be hard to spill your drink. It's TALL, obviously, but not very wide and will fit in your cup holders in your car, but it honestly doesn't seem THAT big once you actually have it and then you get used to it quickly. Like I said, I was using just a 22 Oz Yeti cup for a while, so I thought it'd take some getting used to literally doubling that, but honestly it wasn't. Lol I will say that I keep thinking my water cup is empty or close to it because I've gotten used to the weight of this one, so anything else feels super light and I'll think it's empty lol.Anyway, I haven't had any complaints about it keeping my drink cold. I tend to fill it up with Mountain Dew, yes I'm aware you're not supposed to have soft drinks in it but as long as you don't seal it up and it's able to breath it's fine, like I said I use the straw at all times so I always have to opening on the lid open. Yes, the soda does get flay eventually but imma be honest I don't really mind. It's all just up to personal taste and I'm fine with it, and honestly usually finish it before it gets flat anyway. But it does keep it cold. I don't like using much ice anyway, so I usually just pour it directly from the bottle that's been in the fridge, and it'll stay pretty cold for a really long time. Since it's soda and I do tend to drink it before it gets flat, I'm not really pushing it to its limits and having it keep it cold for like 24-48 hours lol but I have had it before still be cold after being left out overnight. And when I do put ice in it, it will take a LONG time for it to finally disappear lol.So is it on par with the Stanley ones that are wayyy more expensive? No idea, I've never used a Stanley. Will it keep your drink cold for a while and stand up to some abuse and keep your drink from spilling everywhere if knocked over?yeah. Sure. If you're just like me and using it for hanging around your house and you're just wanting to cut down on getting refills lol then yeah go for it. It'll get the job done just fine. I like the handle, too. It's sturdy AF and makes it way easier to carry it when it's full. I've never come close to dropping it, and I am definitely clumsy lol.Anyway it's a nice cup, the end. Is it as good as the Stanley? Eh probably not, but it's fine for what it is and it's really cute, too!! I love the color, it's super vibrant too. So it's certainly on par with the Stanley in that regard!!!
