Plain but decent to use

The set is basic but contains all the right pieces for four semi-formal settings, if need be, but I divided the forks, spoons, and knives up for a casual setting for 7 people. No one cared (noticed) they got a salad rather than a dinner fork, a soup spoon rather than the teaspoon (which were quite different in size), nor the steak knife rather than the butter knife. The flatware is a little on the light side, but very utilitarian, and solid for everyday use.

Durability fits Value, pretty but shows flaws

These utelsils were pretty. They were a matt black as described. They are slightly heavier then a dollar tree silverware. I ran them through the wash cycle twice. Each time I noticed one thing, that I would need to polish them before putting them away because there were spots. There also seemed to be slight imperfections on the silverware that looked like it was already chipping off. The picture shows the knife that was washed in the dishwasher two times without any other use out of it at all. As you can see, it looks like I've used it for several weeks. I don't know if it would be rust resistant considering the results of 2 washes. I feel that the durability fits the value.
