Dangerous product.
I’m updating this review and giving it 1 star. I am careful with my glasses and this one was used for a bedside cup for water. I’ve had it less than a month. Today I was drinking from it and I found glass in my mouth! I look at the straw and the whole bottom is chipped away and there’s glass in the bottom of the jar. I really hope I didn’t drink glass. This shouldn’t have chipped like this when I don’t handle this roughly. This is a terrible product. Obviously something is wrong with this glass straw. Even the gasket around the lid won’t stay on. Not worth the money and danger…

Smaller than expected but nice gift item
It's smaller than it looks in the picture, or maybe I'm just spoiled by my 32-40 oz mugs.Another thing that's much better in the pictures is that the print looks much much better set against a multicolored cocktail beverage. On a clear glass, the white text is hard to notice. If you're giving this as a gift, which you likely are, you can stuff it with some colorful tissue paper or as we did, wrapped candies. It makes it much more fun.Personally I can't be trusted with glass mugs or straws, but it that's your thing this is great. The wooden lid has a silicone seal that makes it pretty watertight when closed, although it does not screw on and COULD pop off.The box is a completely generic cardboard box with nothing on it except the Amazon inventory sticker, which can be peeled off. I would have loved if the box was more of a gift able presentation, especially geared toward the teacher theme, but my guess is they make hundreds of thousands of identical generic boxes and clear glass cups BEFORE deciding which specific graphic to apply, which keeps costs down. Just something to keep in mind. Gift wrap would be a nice touch you can add yourself.
