An electric peeler that peels more than grape skins!
I went into this expecting a gimmick, but it turned out to be far more useful than I anticipated, ngl. This peeler is fast.I’ve been able to peel whole garlic cloves without breaking the bunch, cherry tomatoes, baby potatoes, and ginger without overstuffing, and it consistently peels them in under 30 seconds. The tumbling action of the cutterhead works well, and removes skins efficiently without pulverizing what’s inside (as long as you don’t overstuff it,) which is especially important for softer items like tomatoes and grapes. It arrived partially charged and worked out of the box, though I did notice performance improved after giving it a full recharge, which the instructions recommend. Once fully charged, the battery easily handles multiple batches in a row without slowing down. Being cordless makes it easy to move around the kitchen, and the Type-C charging is convenient.Operation is simple, two buttons, peel and eject. It’s low noise, and no learning curve.Cleanup is also simple since the chamber detaches and rinses clean quickly, with no lingering garlic smell afterward. For prep-heavy cooking, salads, or situations where peeling by hand would be tedious, this saves noticeable time and effort. That said, this isn’t a replacement for a knife in all situations. Size matters, overloading it or using items that are too large reduces effectiveness, and some produce may still need light finishing by hand.It definitely works best when you stick to small batches rather than trying to do everything at once. This is a surprisingly effective kitchen tool that does exactly what it claims when used as intended, not sure that everyone needs one or if there’s a huge market for it since people tend to just cut grapes in half and or eat the grapes skin on, but. It’s especially useful for repetitive prep tasks and for anyone who wants to save time. Not essential for everyone, but genuinely helpful if you prep a lot of small fruits and vegetables and if you are picky about skins.Disclosure: This review is part of Amazon’s Vine Program, which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for honest reviews (taxed as income).
