Bellisimo mantel!
This was so beautiful and accented my Christmas table beautifully!!!
These are absolutely true to the size, they neither an inch bigger or and inch smaller than the said size, meaning if you have a 72x35 table, buy one size bigger than that unless you want a fit that is inch perfect. The tablecloth is on the heavy side, so it will not fly around, and the edges will look straight. It looked gorgeous on my dining that was 62x35. (the tablecloth I bought is 72x52)The velvety material on top is great on touch, the wrinkles on packaging will disappear in a few days, and will look great on the dining. I really liked the golden velvety color of the cloth. The under side material is a slightly skid resistant but nothing to praise about as it might be useful only on rough surfaces (which most of dining are not).I do not have much experience buying tablecloth so I can't say of it is a good value for money, however I kinda liked this until I got a new dining that is 72 in long can't use this with ease and will skid easily. If you're planning to buy, buy a size bigger than your dining
description is spot on - quality is very good, heavy and beautiful. Would highly recommend for a fancy dinner
This tablecloth is of great quality
I first ordered this tablecloth because I needed something special to dress my Christmas and New Year’s Eve tables to the nines. And indeed, this piece did just that… I had almost as many compliments on it as I did the food. When it came time to put away all of the holidays trappings, however, I found myself leaving it behind while everything else was stored away til November. While yes, it makes a gorgeous addition to holiday decor, it goes far beyond the last month of the year. This item is a gorgeous shade of gold that goes with everything in my dining room. Being a relatively neutral color means that no matter which curtains I hang, or how I redecorate the room, it will match. Its specific hue is found in my Oriental rug, the one piece that will stay, regardless of the rest of the decor. The material itself is substantial, of a thickness that is more akin to expensive varieties. Even though it’s polyester velvet, the ‘upper’ is soft and feels closer to quality velvet than velveteen or velour. It also looks like high-end velvet, not that obvious sheen that panne and crushed velvet have. I have red panne velvet curtains and the difference between the way they look, in comparison, is night and day. It also possesses a quality that normal silk velvet does not: when exposed to sunlight, it sparkles! While for some that may not matter, for me that upped its appeal. When I had people over New Year’s Eve day, many guests commented on that and how unusual — and beautiful — it was.Polyester velvet has another trait that pricey velvets do not: it’s machine-washable. If this had been made from silk or mohair, I’d never have used it for fear of staining. Since dry cleaning isn’t necessary for this (it is for the two afore-mentioned materials), as soon as company left on January first, I simply washed it on the gentle cycle, dried it on low, then put it back on the table. The price is incredibly affordable. I’ve seen tablecloths made of the exact same material selling for three times more — and look like they were worth three times less, thin and sporting scraggly-looking pile. I no longer wait for a table full of guests to define an important occasion… inviting Mom over for afternoon tea now looks as special as I’ve always thought it to be.
