Just like the brand named attachment but with a slightly smaller opening to pour ingredients in. Not a major difference but i\f you are like me and have a hard time herding flour and or sugar into the spout...this one isn't going to help you hold it together. But if you're just looking to save money and don't struggle like me this is your attachment.
This cover is so convenient! Like many people, I struggle to pour ingredients into my mixer while it’s running and usually end up making a mess. This cover helps prevent that and makes the whole process so much easier and honestly, more enjoyable. Since it’s clear, it doesn’t block your view at all, which is a huge plus for me. The cover itself feels pretty sturdy; although if you really forced it, you could probably snap it, but overall, the quality is great. Highly recommend!
This performs and fits as it says. I do feel as though, with this price point, there are better options but it fits.
I have a KitchenAid 6 qt lift-style Mixer and this works perfectly with it. The lid fits securely on the bowl and the cut out portion on the back fits perfectly with my lift-style mixer. I am impressed by the weight and thickness of the plastic- I owned a KA brand version of this and it was not nearly as substantial, plus my old one came apart in 2 pieces and was such a pain to use! I love that the "shoot" is fully enclosed so that it truly keeps the item inside the bowl. It worked perfectly when making my pound cake (which has LOTs of added flour alternating with milk) and this made it a much easier experience!
I'm very pleased with this pouring shield. It fits my Cuisinart mixer when using the original brand mixing bowl and also when I use a Kitchen Aid bowl on my Cuisinart. I turn the open edge towards the front for a easy fit under the mixer head.
I got this not realizing it was the smaller size, I have the kitchen aid professional 5 plus and it didn't fit my larger bowl sadly. However, it did fit the smaller bowl it came with! It's thick plastic so it doesn't look like it will break easily and the mouth is pretty wide and a good size for pouring ingredients in. Can't wait to use it! I took a pic of both bowls to show size difference
