My best knife before this set was a popular kitchen appliance brand. I had no idea how nice good knives are. These feel stupid good in your hand! I'm happy to add them to the kitchen kit! They washed up easily. (hand wash - you don't put these in the dishwasher!) I tested them on some semi frozen beef and it allowed me to slice as evenly as I liked. I cored an apple and it was like butter. I make homemade bread, and sawing with that bread knife made a nice even slice. I'm so happy with this set. The block is stylish and sleek. Really nice set that would make a wonderful wedding gift or a first home gift. 10 out of 10 for quality, style, and value!
