Great quality and multiple uses possible
This set of 3 mesh racks was priced at $15.89 at the time of my order.There are so many brands of air fryers in the market place; I do not own the Chefman and picked this up for a different purpose. I tested the quality and functionality of the racks in my toaster oven. I wanted an option for small items that permitted airflow rather than using the solid baking sheet included in my toaster oven. I made sure my measurements met these racks and took a chance.The size of the racks matches the listing; ensure they will fit in your unit if you don't have the air fryer mentioned. There is direction to preheat the rack prior to using the first time. I believe this 'sets' the rack and keeps it from warping. I preheated the rack as suggested and didn't have any issues with it warping. I cooked frozen shrimp, pretzel bites and a mini pizza using the mesh rack inside my toaster oven (set on the standard slotted rack). The rack worked great! The bottoms of the food pieces were cooked and crisped better than cooking on a sheet pan.There is a piece of pink felt like material included in the set that I can't find any information on. I will cut it apart and use it as a 'scrubber' for cleaning. I forgot to spray the rack before cooking the breaded shrimp and some pieces stuck to the mesh. They were easy to lift off and once the rack cooled it was easy to clean.These are useful for cooking in silicone molds or small tart pans. I make my own egg bites and the silicone pan I use is small but it can be tricky to place in the oven since it's flexible. I put the silicone pan on the mesh rack and it made placing and removing from the oven so much easier and didn't affect the cooking.Disclosure: I receive products as part of Amazon's Vine program in exchange for sharing an honest review. Solid Fit for Chefman, Handy for Dehydrating but Measure First
These racks are a useful if you need to get more out of the Chefman 6.3QT 4-in-1 air fryer, especially for dehydrating or cooking multiple layers at once.The dimensions were accurate (9.53” x 9.53”), and they fit my unit well, but measuring first is absolutely essential.If your air fryer doesn’t match those dimensions closely, these won’t be forgiving.Since I also have an oven air fryer, these work solo as well for smaller portions which is very convenient.The steel feels sturdy, and airflow is good thanks to the wire design. Mind you, i also use the wire mess of the baskets to make mash potatoes, I just press a baked potato and keep the skin off easy.I can also use them for dehydrating treats, vegetables, and reheating items without stacking, and they definitely improve capacity and even cooking.Dishwasher-safe is a big plus, and cleanup has been easy so far, or spray with dishwasher soap mixed with water, let them sit to degrease. Works every time.One important note: follow the preheating instructions. The requirement to preheat at 300°F before first use is NOT optional.Skipping that step could easily lead to warping, given how thin the steel is.Once preheated properly, I haven’t had any deformation issues.They’re not fancy, but they do exactly what they’re meant to do—expand cooking space and improve airflow.
