Stable and doesn't drip

I needed a cruet that is small, would dispense a small amount of oil, wouldn't drip, and wouldn't be easily knocked over. When I saw this 4 oz cruet with a wide base and many reveiws claiming it is easy to control the amount of oil dispensed and it doesn't drip, I decided to give it a try. I love it; it's exactly what I wanted! It doesn't take up much room next to the stovetop and is very stable; it even came with a plastic doily that keeps in in place and protects it from breaking when I set it down on the hard granite countertop. I can easily pour only the small amount of oil needed in my one-egg pan. So far, it hasn't dripped even once! Bonus: the flare at the top makes it easy to fill; no funnel needed. The only cons are it's probably going to be hard to clean (hoping a soak in hot water with dishwasher powder will work), and the glass spout is fragile and will be easy to break. Fingers crossed I'll be able to avoid that happening!

Beautiful container--not if you want it for very tiny pours

This cruet is beautiful, well-made and well-designed. I was looking for something to pour truffle oil. (e.g., on avocacdo toast, eggs, grilled veggies, etc...) It does pour more slowly than most olive oil & vinegar cruets might, but if you want it for 'micro-dosing' your veggies--keep looking. On the other hand, if yu count every calorie, and want just ½ tsp. of oil on your salad, this might be just what you need.

FANCY LOOKING DISPENSER WITHOUT THE FANCY PRICE

This glass oil dispenser bottle is a pleasure to own and use. Fancy looking (the model with fluting and not the plain smooth surface) but inexpensive. Excellent value for the money. I wish the manufacturer would add a slightly smaller version to the size lineup (maybe 2.5 or 3 oz.).The only con is that the bottle can be difficult to wash inside due to the narrow waist. You need to have a bottle cleaner brush with handle to do the job effectively.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT.
