I give it as a Christmas present for my daughter and she loves it.
This hand‑forged 3‑piece knife set definitely has the cool factor. The forged texture, the leather sheaths, and the overall craftsmanship make them look fantastic, and the butcher knife in particular feels solid and well‑built. That said, I’m giving them four stars instead of five for two reasons. First, they’re not quite sharp enough to be considered true kitchen knives. They work, but they don’t have the edge you’d expect for regular food prep. Second, the handles on the two smaller knives are pretty small, if you have large hands, they can feel a bit cramped and not as comfortable to hold.Still, the set looks great, feels durable, and is perfect for camping or outdoor cooking. With a bit more sharpness and slightly larger handles, they’d be an easy five stars.
I was honestly impressed the moment I opened this WXCOO 3-piece hand-forged knife set. These knives look even better in person than in the photos. The hammered high-carbon steel finish gives them a rugged, almost custom-forged appearance, and the wooden handles feel solid and comfortable in hand.First and most important — they come very sharp right out of the box. I tested them on meat, vegetables, and even tougher cuts, and they sliced cleanly without much effort. The cleaver handles thicker cuts easily, and the boning/utility-style blade is great for precision work. What really stands out:• High carbon steel – Holds an edge well and cuts smoothly.• Balanced weight – Not too heavy, but substantial enough to feel professional.• Ergonomic wooden handles – Comfortable grip and visually appealing.• Includes sheaths – Huge plus for safe storage and transport, especially for camping or outdoor cooking.• Versatile use – Great for kitchen prep, BBQ, hunting, camping, or even as a display piece. The hammered texture isn’t just for looks — it also seems to help reduce food sticking to the blade. For the price, this set feels like a great value. It has that “Viking-style” aesthetic while still being fully functional for real cooking tasks. Just remember that high-carbon steel requires proper care — dry them after washing and keep them lightly oiled if storing long term to prevent rust.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. Sharp, durable, great design, and practical for both indoor and outdoor use.Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a unique, heavy-duty knife set without spending hundreds.
It’s almost like the person who designed this knife set wasn’t sure if they wanted to design a cutlery set or a hunting knife set. So they said to themselves: “why not both?”For some reason, each knife comes with its own leather sheath. Because you might want to attach it to your belt and take it for a walk with you. The blade styles are interesting. I mean they’ll cut, but I’m not exactly sure what the design intent was here. They are full tang, feel hefty, well balanced, look cool, and they’re pretty sharp out of the box. One even has a decorative pin in the handle. While I think they are nice, I really don’t see these as my go to kitchen knives. Maybe a go to for cleaning a hide or something but not cutting veggies, cheese, or protein. For $38.99 (at the time of purchase) I feel like they are worth that price tag but not to the normal kitchen cowboy.
I wouldn't say these are really great at home kitchen knives, but they are definitely a great functional novelty! All of them, even the smallest have a nice heft and very thick, heavy, steel. The two curved ones are very comfortable, and with the finger hole, fit great in the hand and are easy to use! They are very sharp out of the box and I definitely picked my fingers while taking them out and putting them back in the sheath when I got them.As I mentioned before, these are kinda quirky and when I got them they didn't feel great for kitchen use. Maybe if they were bigger? These strike me more as camping knives than anything, and I love them for that! I haven't really tested for rust resistance, but in my short time with cutting boxes, some branches in the snow, and washing the tape residue off of them, they didn't develop any rust.Overall, I love these! I will be bringing these camping and the small knife is my main box cutter now. If these speak to you, go ahead and get them, I don't think you won't be disappointed!
Nice packaged product, can be a show case or real wold product!
These are excellent knives to have for outdoor food prep usage or if you just like this style. Each one has a carry sheath and has a full tang with a nice wooden handle. The steel is thick enough that you can abuse them without too much worry. They arrive bagged with plastic tip protectors and machine oil coating the blade. They look nice, exactly as shown, and have a good price point.I tested them in my home kitchen. They had no issues slicing things from soft mushrooms to a cutting up a hard block of cheese for crackers. The finger holes are very helpful because of the knife sizes. The sizes are detailed in one of the ad images if you missed this information. If you use the holes you have good control without worrying about slippage.I still prefer the 8+ inch chef knives that I have for most kitchen work. The longest knife in this set has a 5.7 inch blade and your hand is slightly choked up on the handle to use the finger hole so they handle differently. However, I would not necessarily want to carry one of those larger knives on my belt like I would carry one of the knives from this setOverall I would recommend them if you need rugged knives with sheaths for outdoor use or just really like this forged look for your kitchen knives.
