Surprisingly Effective Vacuum
I also have a larger vacuum food sealer, the one that used bags without the built-in valve. While it does work, I find this far superior for all of my uses. The price to performance is amazingly good. Even on more fragile items, right down to something like loose Pringles, it does a great job. I don't eat all that much and frankly I got tired of tossing food out. Something as inexpensive as Saltines, it does an amazing job of keeping food from going stale.It does feel odd, reusing what are basically Ziploc bags but we wash hard plastic Ziploc containers, so why not? I'm still on the original bags that came with this vacuum. A few of the bags out of the box were faulty but overall, not too bad. This is a great value.

I love this thing! It works great to preserve food. So far I've put apple slices, avocados, cheese, salmon, and chicken salad in the bags. I'm experimenting with the cheese & chicken salad by putting them first in zip lock baggies, then inside the larger vacuum bags and freezing them. I did that so that I could pull out a smaller amount. We'll see how it works. The handheld sealer & bags are easy to use & works quickly.

Don’t buy!Nice vacuum sealer great price compared to the name brand, just keep in mind that you cannot have anything food under the sealer knob on the bag, or it will not start the vacuum. I wish that the knob on the bag was more to the corner to utilize more of the bag, maybe better bags? out there? The knob has to have nothing under to suction the air. Battery charges well seems to hold charge, easy to use and very small to put in drawer, so that is a major plus in my book, just starting using it and works well.

Surprising Hidden Gem for Cheap!
I originally bought this $15 handheld vacuum sealer just to compare it with a much more expensive model, but it completely outperformed the pricier one. From the very first use, it pulled out more air and sealed better, and it’s still working perfectly after several uses.
