Interesting Set

This is a nice little tea set. I was also impressed with the box it arrived in. My only reason for not leaving a 5 star review is the color changing aspect of the set. I was thinking the images were actually imbedded within the pieces themselves, it turns out, it is a decal affixed to the sides of the pot & cups. It’s not bad…..

Wonderful Little Teapot, but Beware of Cups if you Like HOT Tea, They Get Quite Hot

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This little pot is so cute and I love that it has a traditional Chinese clay look and feel with the fun addition of the color-changing element. It's a good size and great quality, especially for the price. I also love that the tea leaf strainer is built-in and I can use loose leaf tea without having to find an additional strainer. NOTE: I use LARGE loose leaf tea leaves with this as the strainer is not perfect and will let smaller particulate through. If you have smaller particle loose leaf tea, I would add an additional strainer on pouring.The pot was fairly easy to clean, though I realized while cleaning that I won't ever be able to really get the spout and strainer scrubbed clean, but I don't see that as a real issue as I only ever make tea in my teapots and particulate comes out pretty easily if cleaned promptly after use. (If you let the tea leaves dry in the pot, all bets are off.)The box it came in is quite cool and I will keep and use this with this set until I die and pass it on to my kids. The one big issue that I found was that the cups, which are adorable and also color-changing, are very difficult to hold when the tea is still hot. I am a HOT tea sipper, so I prefer a mechanism for drinking my tea at near boiling. But these will work for cooler tea, just beware they conduct heat quite quickly and well.

A little gimmicky but, nice

This is a very nice Chinese tea set, and it really does change color when warmed. That said, it doesn't look like much when it is cold. For me, it is a functional item, not decorative. Nicely packaged and secure in the box, it will store well when not in use.
