Massive versatility, expect to need extra storage space
I chose this mixing bowl set for two main reasons - the classic handles and the lids. The bowls come in 2.5Q and 5Q. For my baking needs, I primarily use the 2.5Q and I have LOVED it. The non-slip bottom keeps my bowl in place well as I add and stir in ingredients. The handle is awesome and is easy to grip securely, as it has a texture similar to the bowl's bottom. I love the classic handle shape and really prefer it to the other handles I saw in my extensive browsing for the perfect batter/mixing bowl. Both bowls do in fact having that pouring spout and internal measurement chart as advertised. The stainless finish ensures nothing at all sticks and continues to be a breeze to clean. It has proved durable after months of use. It feels weightless, especially when compared to similarly sized glass mixing bowls.I am obsessed with the flexibility of utility with these lids. I just pop off the flat middle insert as I add ingredients for baking, smoothly placing it back on for protection when I need to be away from the bowl. You can also use your whisk to stir while not splashing by leaving on the outer lid. I enjoy having the option to shred ingredients as well with the other middle inserts the set comes with. All inserts fit on the lid for both bowls, so you don't have to worry about that. The lid does seem to also create an airtight seal. I stored some bananas in the 5Q bowl with the lid on and I was able to avoid attracting any curious fruit flies before I was ready to make banana bread. You can probably use these to store batter that requires resting without issue, or as food storage. The cons for this product are very minor. The first is purely cosmetic. The interior of the bowls scratches very easily, so any level of mixing with metal or hard utensils will produce an infinite number of small scratches. However, this does not at all affect the non-stick or utility of the bowls, so it does not bother me. You have to look to see these anyway, and it is pretty expected to occur due to the sole purpose of this dish. The only other con is that I cannot actually stack mine inside each other and have the lids on. The handle seems to impede this. If you do not mind having to either stack them atop each other with the lids on individually then this is fine. You could save a bit of that space by stacking the lids on top of each other, then stacking the smaller bowl in the bigger bowl atop the stacked lids. This has caused me to need way more space to store this than I planned, but overall I still really enjoy having this mixing bowl set.I would repurchase this set or recommend it to others, clarifying the only issue about storage. This set gives you a massive amount of versatility and I cannot imagine a situation where I need a different one for any given task.
