Smaller than expected
These match my dining set that was from a large retailer that discontinued my pattern so I was happy to find these and the matching coffee mugs. I'm not good at guessing size based on fluid oz capacity so they were much smaller than I anticipated. They are not for soup as I had hoped but they are perfect for individual condiments, tea bag holder, or small snacks. I may need to purchase more in the larger size for my intended purpose but still happy with these as they are of good quality and look great.

The BEST Ramekins for the Home or Professional Cook/Baker
One of the best functioning, and best looking ramekins I've owned. I first used them for Chocolate Lava Cakes and they gave the cakes a perfect crust, baked them thoroughly but kept the molten center. Easy to remove the cakes too, they retained heat well and lived through a commercial grade oven, the capabilities of these ramekins is understated! Made mini Pineapple Upside Down Cakes, perfect for French Onion Soup or Clam Chowder, I got the 8oz version but they still made the most impeccable Creme Brulee. I love the deep vibrant blue color, the design is an improvement over other plain and basic ramekins, and these definitely don't fit that plain and basic description. I do baby them but they can hold up being put in a commercial oven or commercial dishwasher. These ramekins, shockingly, are very heavy and thick walled, not cheaply made and thin, you'll get a consistent cook/bake with these ramekins, the quality is easily an 11 out of 10, in comparison with other ramekins that are cheap, light, and thin walled, you'll burn or overbake the outside before the center finishes, I tried it with my Pineapple Upside Down Cakes. I'll definitely be buying 5 cases next time around, the first set made me a customer for life, get yours so you can see and feel the difference, you definitely will never go back!

Great looking set of small custard dishes
I purchased these small ramekin / custard style cups to replace old glass Pyrex custard cups I grew up using and still are in good shape, but I just wanted something different. I chose this set, as I already own the matching espresso cups and saucers, and I like them.These small custard/ramekin dishes, came in 3 different sizes (4, 6 or 8 oz) at the time I was ordering them, and I chose the 6 oz size because it seemed the most versatile for desserts. In all honesty, these do not quite hold 6 oz in liquid when filled to the rim, but more like 5 oz. They measure 3 1/4 inches across the top and just a touch under 2 inches tall. The exterior of these small ramekins are a glossy dark blue, and because the outside of the ramekins are not perfectly smooth, but have a slight textured finish - like thin spiral coils wrapped around the exterior circumference - the blue gives the appearance of being two different colors. It is a very attractive look, not to mention it gives a bit of a better grip when holding them. The interior is glazed in black. So they are the perfect size for custards, fruit, ice cream or a small soufflé, and they look great too.One thing to know is that these ramekins do not stack one into the other, as securely as custard cups would, so they do take up a bit more shelf space in your cabinet unless you get a small rack to set them on.

Nice quality, don’t stack
