Large, Easy-Store Heat Mat That Handles Cast Iron but Feels Slightly Pricey
I received this heat resistant mat for free through Amazon Vine in exchange for my honest review.One of the things I like most about this mat is that it folds up easily and stores without taking up much space. My first use was under a cast iron pizza pan, and it handled that job very well. I also appreciate the generous size. Normally we have to lay down several hot pads or trivets under casserole dishes or cast iron pizza pans, but this mat covers the area in one go.It does seem a little pricey for what it is, but in my experience it does what it advertises and is simple to store when not in use.

May melt from the heat...
I am a bit torn on this product. The item is good thickness so that you know it's protecting your counters and I do like that it folds easily to store away. It is true that the mat is easy to wipe down if you spill food on it and it's great that you can use either side.The big area where this fell short is on my first use of the mat I put a hot pan on it and the mat now has some melted lines from portions of the pan. The flat area where the pan sat is fine, but the edges where the pan handles were now are melted into the mat. I'm a little confused since it's supposed to be heat resistant and protect the counters, so I'm not sure why it would melt so easily. The may is still usable, and I will continue to use it, but I did have to take stars off because it makes me question the durability and longevity of it.

This heat-resistant mat works great! It’s very easy to use — just unfold it and place it on the counter or table. I used it right away for a hot meal plate because I didn’t want the heat sitting directly on my table, and it protected the surface perfectly.
