These are fairly standard oven mitts. The fabric feels nice, and they seem to be well-constructed. They are a bit small for my average-sized woman’s hand, but not so much that they can’t be used safely. I actually almost prefer the slightly smaller size since they’re easier to slip on and off when I’m busy cooking.
These are very small and I doubt they will fit anyone with a larger hand. I have a slim hand and the opening barely covers the end of my palm. The padding is not as thick as my other mitts.There is no problems with the stitching, and they are a space saver in the drawers due to small size. Maybe it would be good for camping or in RV with limited space?My photos indicate size/length of the mitt on a woman's hands and I also compared it to the size of the black, regular sized oven mitt. These striped mitts seem child sized.
I find these fabric mitts much more comfortable and flexible than stiff silicone ones. They fit the hand well and allow for a natural movement when handling delicate bakeware
Don't let the small size fool you; the insulation is impressive. I use them for heavy cast iron lids, and I don't feel the heat at all. The fabric texture also prevents slipping.
The coffee-colored stripes look very modern in my kitchen. The material feels thick and durable, and the "duckbill" shape makes it very easy to pinch and hold onto dish edges.
