Great for Ice Cream Lovers!
This is a perfect tool for any ice cream lover! My husband and I love ice cream, so we have it almost every night. As the official "scooper", I had begun to dread our nightly treat simply because the ice cream is so hard. By the time I'd scooped two bowls, my hand was cramped and I had ice cream all over my hand and wrist. So, when I had the opportunity to order this heated ice cream scoop, I jumped on it. This scoop has a thick handle with a scoop shaped metal head. To turn it on, you press the on/off button for about three seconds, until a display of the temperature appears above the on/off button. There are three temperature options depending on your need: 120°, 140°, and 160° (Farenheit). I've been using 140°F which, so far, has been perfect for me. The instructions do indicate that you may need to wait a small amount of time for the scoop to heat up, but my experience has been that it melts the ice cream right away. An added bonus is that the ice cream can be rolled up into a proper scoop, instead of the chunks that a large spoon digs out. Since I started using this scoop we're eating less ice cream and I'm enjoying it more, both very good things.
