High tech ice cream scoop!
This is a very high tech and useful ice cream scoop. Even though it has some scope for improvement, it takes scooping up ice cream to a whole new level!. Once you turn on the scoop, the entire metal surface gets heated up. Once the surface gets hot, you can cut through the coldest ice cream like a knife cuts through (soft) butter. It makes the whole scooping process so smooth and easy! There is a little display which shows the current temperature, and notifies you when it needs to be charged. It also turns off automatically after some time. The scoop comes with a charging cable to charge it.Now for the problems, which are pretty minor, but can be improved upon.1. The entire surface heats up, including the back, which can surprise you. Just use caution when you use the scoop.2. Be careful while cleaning up the scoop. The lower non-metal part needs to be handled with care. Rinsing that part in water could potentially damage the heating mechanism.3. It takes a long time for the scoop to heat up.At a discounted price of $26.99, it is worth the money given the functionality.

Works Well, but Temperature Labels Don’t Match Real‑World Use
I was excited about this, and it doesn’t disappoint. The only issue I have may not even be a true gripe, but I don’t like when products don’t quite match the way they’re advertised. The scoop is described as having three temperature settings, 120°, 140°, and 160°. Those numbers gave me pause, because 160° is hot enough to cause a serious burn. I made sure the first use was done by me and not my kids.In practice, though, the scoop never gets anywhere near those temperatures. It warms up, but not to the levels the indicator implies. For an ice cream scoop, that’s actually a good thing because a genuinely 160° scoop would liquify your dessert before it reached the bowl. Still, the labeling creates unnecessary confusion. No one should have to research an ice cream scoop just to figure out why it's labelled the way it is. But I did. And no, I don’t have too much free time on my hands, just misguided priorities. It turns out many heated scoops use this same “too high” range because it reflects the internal temperature of the heating element for legal reasons. As consumers, we don’t care about the internal temperatures, but 120°, 140°, and 160° sound more technical than simply low, medium, and high. Blame the misleading labeling on marketing. The scoop works well and is much safer than I initially expected, but I’m deducting one star on principle for the confusing temperature markings.

I’ll never use a regular scoop again.
Very handy kitchen item for anyone that east ice cream. Don’t have to fight with regular spoons or scoops. This scoop has three heat settings and is easy to operate and safe to the touch. The handle is a rubber like material and easy to grip. Its weight is great and feels balanced when using. It was tremendously easy to cut through store bought ice cream. The scoop is durable, easy to clean and has a modern appearance.

Heroes out here solving first world problems
This gadget is awesome. I don't know how many times in my life I've said someone should make a heated ice cream scoop, and here someone actually did it. Sure, you can dip your scoop in a cup of hot water, but it doesn't hold heat very long. This works pretty good. It takes a bit of time to fully heat up, but it performs great once it's going. If you're scooping a LOT it will cool down too much eventually and you need to give it time to heat back up. First world problems. :) It holds a charge for a good amount of time. I'm guessing there's an 18650 cell inside. Overall a really neat little kitchen gadget and I'm totally happy with it.

Heats Too Slowly
Temperature settings barely differ, still hard to scoop frozen ice cream, LED inaccurate, battery drains quickly, overall mediocre experience.

Works but heat expectations can easily make this a passable heated scooper....
I'm still giving this 4 stars even though because of the limitation or not having met the heat expectations nor is it clear in matching capability vs actual performance. The heat is not on the edges where you would need it most as you scoop out hard frozen ice cream, the heat is mostly with the scoop and not the edge, so you could easily think of this a a heated bottom spoon. It's very similar to a non-heated scooper because of its design, it makes this easily passable that it has a heated school capability. It would have helped if the handle and end of handle is designed to look dissimilar to regular ice cream scoops. This is mostly an effective standard ice cream scoop but with the exception of having some heat on the bottom rounded part of the scoop.

Gets Warm, but Not Hot
The first time I used this I didn't think it worked at all. So, I put it away for a moment when I could give it a more thorough review. In retrospect, I simply didn't give it sufficient time to warm.First, the power button was a little hard to find. It is the same color as the handle, and while it looks sleek, it really blends in. But once I found it, it was easy to turn on and select my heat setting. As my first trial didn't go so well, this time I was careful to select the warmest setting, and to give it the full recommended two minutes to heat up.The temperatures on the settings should, instead of showing a actual temperature, be low, middle, high. The high, which is labelled as 160 degrees Fahrenheit, isn't terribly hot but it is definitely warm to the touch. Unfortunately all of the heat is centered in the well of the scoop. It would be much more effective if there was more heat in the edges of the scoop. That would allow the scoop to more easily "slice" into the cold ice cream. The actual scoop size is good, and the handle feels substantial and very well made. It is a little heavier than other scoops I have used, which adds to the feeling of quality.I think the bottom line is this: It takes two full minutes to heat up. It doesn't heat up in the most effective spots of the tool. And, if you just leave your ice cream out on the counter for two minutes, it will soften up to be easily scoopable, all on its own.
