An LED shows its charging level and, when in use, its temperature. Top temperature is 158°F. Battery capacity is 5000mAh. The scoop charges at 15W. It's not dishwasher safe.Does it work? Oh, yes! The hot scoop easily glides through ice cream. It's smaller than scoops I've had, but works much easier. I'm fine with having 4 small scoops instead of 2 large ones. This scoop takes the work out of serving ice cream.When not in use, the scoop's box provides a padded storage compartment.
