I am very pleased with this scooper! I experience discomfort in my elbow and hand, which I suspect is related to scooping firm ice cream. This scooper significantly simplifies the scooping process; however, after a few scoops, the temperature rapidly decreases, necessitating a brief pause for it to reheat. The handle is made of plastic and lacks a gripping material, and I believe a rubberized surface would be a beneficial enhancement. It heats up quickly and is compatible with a fast charger for efficient battery replenishment. The digital display is quite convenient for monitoring the current temperature and battery status. Overall, this is an excellent scooper.

Have you ever heard of such a thing as a heated ice cream scoop? Well, I had not. This was my first however, I am very experienced with ice cream and ice cream scoops that are not heated.My first question was, “is it worth it?” I considered first that a quality ice cream scoop from Amazon can be from fifteen to twenty five dollars making this a little bit more expensive. A little though, not a lot. Breaking it down, it’s only five to ten dollars for the heat component. Now that’s value for your money.It works wonderfully. I have arthritis in my hands and a couple times I was home by myself and couldn’t scoop ice cream and had to do without. Not anymore, this is literally like putting a hot knife through a stick of butter. I don’t have to push into the ice cream at all. I used to be up on my toes and put all my weight behind it which is very dangerous if I think about it.As soon as we got it, my husband and I felt a craving for ice cream. It needed a charge out of the box but was ready in five minutes. It comes with a charging cord. It does not use batteries. It’s a type-c charging cable so if I lose the cord, I can always use any type-C cord which is a plus in my opinion. I have not had to charge it again since first getting it. There is an indicator to let you know the battery is getting low.It is the same size as the ice cream scoop I am used to, just a little heavier but it’s not noticeable. It has an LED screen that displays the battery charge and also displays the temperature of the scoop. When you scoop the ice cream, the scooper cools down. You can see on the display that the scoop is heating itself between scoops. I could see the display easily without grabbing my readers.The power button is easy to find. It’s right in the front. You need to press it down and hold it for it to turn on. It will turn itself off after ten minutes if you accidentally walk away leaving it on.It’s recommended to clean the scooping part with a cloth and rinse. It’s water proof but I don’t think I will submerge it and definitely won’t put it in the dishwasher. I’m pretty sure it would no longer be a heated scoop if cleaned in the dishwasher.I have never burned myself with this. It says the maximum temperature is 158 degrees. I’m not sure how hot that is but it’s never gotten hot enough to burn my skin. I have accidentally grabbed the hot end. It seems to work on anything frozen that you need to scoop.As long as you know that one number on the LED display is battery and the other is temperature, you’re good. Everything else I’ve found is self explanatory.This is my new favorite utensil. It is so easy to charge and use.I want to get one for all my friends and family as well as tell everyone else they must have one.
I had no idea a product like this even existed. When I first saw a battery-powered heated ice cream scooper, my mind was blown! Ice cream is probably my favorite treat, and I indulge about once a week. Our family prefers store bought ice cream you scoop yourself because the flavor options are endless! For a family of three, that adds up to a lot of scooping over time.Our freezer keeps ice cream at what I can only describe as “dark side of the moon” temperatures. That means multiple times a month, my newly arthritic hands are up against rock solid ice cream. There have honestly been times I’ve skipped ice cream altogether simply because I didn’t want to wrestle with the scooper. Because of that, this may be the single product I’ve been most excited to test, and it did not disappoint.Functionally, it works like a standard ice cream scoop, but the magic is in how it cuts through rock hard ice cream like butter. It’s waterproof and roughly the same size and weight as a normal scooper. Build quality is excellent, It doesn’t feel light or cheap at all, very solid, with no rattling or loose parts. It is not dishwasher safe, but that’s hardly a major transgression since it’s extremely easy to clean by hand.Operation is very simple. You power it on, the display flashes the remaining battery percentage for about three seconds, then switches to showing the current temperature. It takes roughly 1 minute and 30-45 seconds to fully heat up. The maximum temperature is 158° and once it reaches that, you’re ready to scoop.As you use it, the temperature gradually drops. After about 2 or 3 scoops, you’ll want to pause for around 45 seconds to let it fully reheat. It does lose heat a bit faster than I expected, and reheating takes slightly longer than I’d prefer, but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker. One helpful trick I discovered: a quick rinse under hot water dramatically shortens the reheat time. Thats a pro tip if you’re scooping multiple flavors for a line of impatient kids!The scooper is rechargeable via USB-C and the battery life is respectable for its size. We get about six or seven uses per charge (roughly five minutes each session) before it needs recharging. It doesn’t appear to support fast charging, but since the battery isn’t huge it charges from nearly drained to full in under two hours.It also comes with a very cute and practical removable silicone stand. I actually prefer leaving it clipped on. It holds the scooper off the countertop while reheating or between servings, which is especially convenient when serving multiple bowls.I was torn between giving this 4 or 5 stars, it is a solid 4.5 in my opinion. Realistically, there’s room for improvement in heat retention between scoops and overall battery capacity, and it’s a bit pricey. That said, because of my love for ice cream and how unique and genuinely helpful this product is, I’m giving it the full 5 stars despite its few flaws. The packaging is excellent, the box is absolutely beautiful, and it would make a fantastic gift for any ice cream lover, or a well deserved treat for yourself.
