This lunchbox is perfect for work. The food heats up at a very reasonable rate. It is very convenient, especially at work during lunchtime when there is usually have a line to microwave food. One suggestion that I would like to make is include a wall charger and this product would be much more convenient.
I liked the portability of this, although it is somewhat bulky. But being able to heat up a full meal, is worth it. The heating plate itself is durable. And it heats up food well, although that can vary depending on the tempature you use, and knowing how long to cook it. But after using it a few times, you get to know it and understand how it works. Its not going to roast a pig for you, but it functions well for most meals. I wouldnt leave it unattended, given the unknown nature of its safety features. As far as clean up goes, its pretty easy to wipe everything down. Provided you dont put any food directly on the hot plates...because, you know, some people 😆 Id say if you work any type of manual labor job and dont have access to a microwave, this is not only an alternative option, but probably a better option. Worth its price!
Not worth it doesn’t get food warm enough
This heated lunch box is fantastic. We recently used it on a long road trip, and it allowed us to heat our meals while driving instead of stopping to eat out.It heats food evenly and keeps everything warm without drying it out. Plugging it into the car was simple, and it saved us both time and money.This is an excellent option for road trips, workdays, or anyone who wants a hot meal without relying on a microwave.
I had one of these from another company, and it broke. I did a lot of research, and this lunch box food warmer is just what I was looking for. I don't use it in the conventional way ; I use it in our own kitchen to hold food that I am going to eat, but not at that moment. That way, it stays warm without heating the whole oven, and I have six cats - enough said. We also take it fishing so we can have a warm snack now and then.I have never seen a warmer that can also cook. This warmer is bigger than the ones I have used before. Not only can you put a food container in there, but you can also put two in. Most of the food box warmers I have seen allow you to just put the warm food in the box and go on your way. With this one, you can put it in there cold, and it will warm it up for you. The description shows that there are containers. This does not come with any containers at all, but don't worry. You can use ones you have that will fit. You can use metal, foil, glass, or anything you can put in an oven. Just make sure it has a flat bottom.This even has a thermometer gauge. I found that the temperature of 170°F or 76.67°C works the best. You just try different temperatures until you get it to your liking. I have used this a few times when we are going on a long trip and know we're going to get a little hungry and want a snack along the way. This couldn't be any easier for us. Just plug it in, turn on the warmer, and put the food in. To clean up, find some warm, soapy water.The only flaw I have noticed is that I have to get an adapter to use it in a standard plug in the house. Luckily, I had one. It would have been nice if it came with it. If you really want to, you can get a battery-operated charger or a solar plug so you can have it heating no matter where you are.All in all, it is a very good food warmer and a reheating lunchbox. This warmer has done everything we need and more. I would say you can't go wrong with this. If your food gets cold on your kitchen shelf, or your cats or dogs want it off the counter more than you do, this is the warmer you want.
I have used this lunch box three times since I got it and I am mostly pleased with the results so far. A reheated homemade meal is better than expensive fast food just about any day. The heater goes up to 230F and can heat up a meal to steaming hot in about 30-45 minutes depending upon how much is in the container. I had it plugged into a portable battery which displays how much power is being drawn and the hot plate pulled about 60 watts peak. The bag itself is sturdy and made of good materials.There are a few things that could have made this better. For one, it would have been nice if the heating surface had been made of some kind of non-slip surface. Smaller containers will slide around and could end up in a corner away from the center of the heat such as one did when I was using this to heat my food while driving. Second, the display and control knob holes don't quite fit the hot plate inside well. They can move away and become hard to see and use. I had to make sure I pushed the hot plate against the openings to make it useful. Third, mostly an annoyance, adjusting the temperature goes in 1 degree per click of the control knob. It would have been better if it had been in 5 degree increments as it will take many turns of the knob to raise it up from its low setting on power up to the desired temp, which I'm finding is best at 230F for reheating my meals. And note that while I was getting photos for this review and trying to get the control knob fully out, I found that it can easily pull off which could result in it getting lost if not careful.Overall I am pleased with this lunchbox. It could have been better but it is doing a good job so far.
This has been great for bringing my lunch to work. Super easy to use, easy to clean and works perfectly. Food is warm and my rice is still sticky and moist. Worth the money, getting another for a gift.
