This one changed my mind. It presses garlic smoothly and evenly, and you can tell the design actually considers leverage and pressure. I can press two or three cloves at a time without feeling like I’m going to snap the handles. It works with unpeeled garlic, though I agree that peeled cloves give better yield.The cleanup is surprisingly easy. The stainless steel surface doesn’t trap garlic the way cheaper presses do, and a quick rinse usually removes everything. If you want it spotless, it takes maybe a minute or two with a sponge.One thing worth mentioning is hand size. I have smaller hands, and while I can still use it comfortably, I do need to adjust my grip to apply pressure in the right spot. Once you figure that out, it’s no problem. Overall, I’d still much rather use this than go back to chopping garlic by hand or dealing with a poorly designed press.

Great garlic press

Pretty decent garlic press! It’s definitely heavy duty. This thing has a lot of heft to it. It’s very easy to use, you simply pop it open and put the cloves in and press. It presses the garlic and minces it perfectly, and is so much easier than any other way I’ve tried to cut or mince garlic. I will say it’s kind of hard to get all of the garlic out, but with a little work you can. With the way the flap lifts up it’s super easy to clean. This is a great addition to any kitchen.

This is definitely a heavy duty garlic press, where you can put at least 3-4 garlic cloves in one. I tried it with peeled garlic and unpeeled garlic, and it worked both ways where it was filtering out the outer layer by itself.
