Totally Worth It!
I’ve used many different pepper grinders before, but this one is a game changer. As a machinist, as well as someone who enjoys cooking, I find this grinder exceptional. Extremely well machined, heavy and solid to hold, each twist releases far more pepper than any other I’ve ever used. It adjusts easily from super fine to barely cracked. Even the flavors released seem more intense. A little pricier than most others, but a great example “you get what you pay for.”

Phenomenal!!
This is the best pepper grinder I have ever had. Definitely heavy duty, handles large peppercorns with ease. I love the magnetic base as it keeps the counter top clean. This thing is a brute! Can be a little difficult to turn the handle, but overall it is very manageable.

Great quality. Salt mill lacks magnetic catch cup!
I'm a big fan of both the pepper grinder and salt mill. They are beautifully designed and feel very high-quality both in the hand and in operation. The grind is easily selectable and the quantity with each turn far outstrips my previous grinder/mill. On the pepper grinder, I love the magnetic catch cup to keep counter cleans and also allow the grinding of large amounts of pepper for easy measurement. I don't love that the salt mill doesn't have this feature -- it has a catch cup that screws into the base vs. the quick release magnets so beware (this is likely due to the fact that the salt might corrode the magnets but the omission was a surprise to me!). From an aesthetic perspective (and I'm being picky here), I don't know why the "P" on top of the pepper grinder and the "S" on the salt mill are different fonts. It is a mystery, and something I wish they would have paid attention to. Details matter.

Grinds all size peppercorns in a normal mix, Mag. Base Cap is great - works well, worth the money
This grinder was just what I wanted and (so far) is excellent!1. Does not choke or jam on the larger peppercorns found in most blends2. Magnetic base cap:- is easy to remove for freestyle grinding- re-attaches easily to keep loose grindings off of table/counter when you put the device down- need fresh grinds for a receipe? Grind with cap on and then remove/measure out what you need3. Well made of good materials - should last a long time. Planning to pass on as an heirloom4. Worth the money - the cheaper ones are inferior! My old ones went in the bin!

Amazing quality!
I am an engineer who likes to cook. When I received this grinder I couldn't help disassembling it to marvel at the quality: it's 100% CNC machined billet aluminum (black anodized) and stainless steel with a high-quality conical burr set, smooth running roller bearings, quick-release cap, magnetic base and a precision adjustment mechanism. For $90 this rivals my $300 German manual coffee grinder.I bought this to replace my Peugeot Paris U-Select grinder which is made of plastic, wood and has a cheap cast/pressed burr. The Peugeot had low capacity and larger Tellicherry peppercorns would often get stuck in it. By comparison the HotQilin is easy to fill, has high capacity and quickly grinds to any setting, coarse to fine.

Expensive but nice
It is very well made, heavy weight, I like the magnetic bottom cap which also store the extra pepper-nice, different grinds are nice, quite expensive but I wanted one the will last . I like it very much, however, it is hard to grind for me (older generation), which is the only drawback..
