Great quality, sturdy and has multiple edges with different angles to work well in different shaped containers. I use mine mostly for mashing bananas for banana bread, and works easier and faster than a mixer, with easy clean up.
This is the best potato masher on the planet. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever spend this much on a potato masher, but here we are.My old cheap black plastic one was starting to wobble - after many years, the handle was coming loose from copious amounts of mashing and was not fixable. So I needed a new one and looked into ones that were one solid unit, versus a masher and handle stuck together like my old one. And came across this beauty. It’s absolutely divine. A single piece of gorgeous metal, designed to outlive the next four generations. It is weighty and smooth and does an amazing job. The edges are all smoothed over and it is polished up so nicely that it is very easy to clean, despite being used for sticky things and having lots of crevices.I love it and have catered my meal planning to try to include it as often as possible, because it is that great. So we mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, pinto beans, cannellini beans, garbanzo beans, peas, carrots, and break up ground meat, etc etc. It is truly a masterpiece.I never thought I’d have a love story to tell about a masher. Everyone that mashes things deserves the fine artistry of this piece. So if you find yourself needing a masher and balking at the price of this like I did, do yourself a favor and just get it. It is 100% worth it.

This is exactly what I wanted. A one piece stainless steel potato masher. The shape will allow easy cleaning with a dish soap sponge. It is really thick stainless. Very nice.I had waited for this to be back in stock. Very happy that I waited.The potato is 5 inches by 2.5 inches.
Nice to hold and use. Smashes easily. Just throw into the dishwasher and you are done!
I wasn't sure how comfortable this would be to use, but I like this better than any other masher I've used. The different shape holes do a good job of mashing, the base is a bit rounded so you can rock it a little. There's very little residue left when you're done, and it cleans up easily. And it is really a beast on those spuds; you can almost hear them crying out, "No mas, no mas!"This is a brilliant design. Not only is it sturdy with no sharp edges, but the handle will not fall off or collect water in the dishwasher, and being stainless steel, it will last forever.Yeah, it is a bit pricey, but this will be a family heirloom.
