This potato riser makes the creamiest potato’s all you need is butter no milk or cream. The only downside is you have to peel your potatoes. Sometimes I like mashed red potatoes with garlic. It doesn’t work with the skins on.
This guy is the best thing to happen to mashed potatoes since they were first mashed! Simply load a chunk of boiled, or roasted potato into the chamber, squeeze, and it's mashed! It's super easy to use and takes a major hassle out of making the mashed spuds. The potatoes are at the perfect consistency, just add in your butter and cream and finish it up with a fork or something. It's pretty easy to clean, as long as you clean it right away, just hit it with the sprayer in your sink and the potatoes come right off.My only complaint is how loose it seems to be, not that it isn't durable and sturdy, it's just slightly flimsy and takes an extra second or two to line it up.
It rices the potatoes perfect 👌. The best mashed/riced potatoes ever. Separates the potatoes from the skin so no peeling required. Heavy duty and does the job. Get one. You won't regret it.
This masher does the job but it is not as sturdy or comfortable as I hoped. The handle feels a little awkward after a while and it takes more effort than expected to get potatoes smooth. It works fine for lighter use but struggles with larger batches or firmer vegetables.Cleanup is simple since it is dishwasher safe and the stainless material does not rust, but overall it feels more basic than I thought it would. It is alright for the price but not great if you want something that feels heavy duty.
Large size, good quality steel, and ease of use is fantastic. You'll want to make sure your potatoes are a good size and not too overload the basket. Potatoes comes out perfectly riced and creating smooth mash is a cinch now.
As an avid home cook, I was really looking forward to trying this ricer. I had seen & heard from cooking shows/videos how much having one would make mashed potatoes creamier and smoother. My first impression after taking it out of the package was that it was larger and heavier then expected. But it did feel heavy duty, so my second thought was it should rice my potatoes easily. I really wanted to like this ricer. But sadly, I found it cumbersome to use. I had to use both hands on the lever pressing really hard to push the potatoes through. Half of the potato riced and the other half got mashed into the back of the ricer and had to be scraped out. After the 3rd potato I gave up and pulled out my masher. I feel that maybe a spring handle might have helped and possibly the holes being larger so that the potatoes wouldn't get stuck. I also think the size and design of the ricer is better suited to someone who's hands are larger.
This potato ricer works wonders! It is made of high quality stainless steel and is heavy duty. It's the first time I have used a ricer and it was super easy. I had to use a lot of strength to press the potato through and there were no worries of bending metal! It was super strong and made the most amazing smooth potatoes. This is a great product at a great price!
