Pigs ears

I have rat terriers that love pigs ears but I don’t give them a whole one. I have a very sharp anvil and blade cutter from craftsman that I used to cut them in half. The anvil cutter made it to where I had to use all my hand strength to cut the things in half and it was difficult to say the least. I bought the kitchen shears and noticed they were very sturdy when I opened the box. The scissor action made a perfect connection and the feeling in my hand was smooth and precise feeling.I took a pigs ear, package and all, and the shears easily cut through it without effort. Best Set of Shears I Have Ever Owned, Best Customer Service

First and foremost: These shears are not for snipping fine things. They are designed to cut through tough tendon and bone, and for that, they do a magnificent job. We spatchcock turkeys and chickens from Thanksgiving through Christmas, and freeze up a bunch of stock for the coming year. Since we started doing this a few years ago, each year we've had to buy multiple pairs of shears from Walmart because they kept breaking or couldn't apply the pressure we needed to cut through ribs of large turkeys. We looked around Amazon, and found this pair and decided to order them.The pair came damaged upon delivery- I don't exactly know what happened, but the box amazon put it in was a bit too big and it looked like they got banged around a lot. Amazon refunded me, and I had to go out and buy another cheap pair for Thanksgiving(Which broke!). Ronnie from AM Trade contacted me, and the customer service was fantastic. They sent me out a new pair, just in time for our next turkey.As you can see in the pictures, it ripped right through a 16 pound turkey to spatchcock it. Previous reviews have stated that the handle gets slippery, but I never do this without nitrile gloves on, so the shears were stable and cut neatly through each rib and bone I needed them to. This was the easiest it's ever been to prep a turkey, and I won't ever go back to another set of shears so long as I have these.The latch to keep them closed is also a really nice addition, and while we haven't yet used the basting brush, it's nice to have.If you're looking for something that will neatly snip bits of skin off, you might be successful with the tips of these, but really, this is a set of heavy duty shears that will cut through the toughest tendon, bone and connective tissue. I couldn't be more pleased, and Ronnie and AM Trade have definitely earned a customer for life.Thank you!

I bought to clean all my fish. They cut through meat and bone effortlessly. These are very heavy duty with excellent leverage for cutting for a very good price. Lifetime warranty.July 19 2023- these have proven phenomenal after cleaning many fish. We eat mostly panfish. I don’t use a fillet knife mainly because we eat our fish whole minus the head. It takes me 2 min to clean a crappie. I haven’t used the bone cutter part because I haven’t needed it. These will lop a fish head off instantly. Catfish backbone is child’s play. If it came with a leather sheath I’d keep them on my belt. Prepping bait fish easy. One of the best food prep tools I’ve ever owned.

Helped me breakdown Whole chicken

These poultry shears are easy to use and come with a great silicon basting brush for coating whatever you want. The shears have a safety latch to keep them closed for easy storage. I used the shears to breakdown a whole chicken. It easily cuts down and through bone, but you have to find the right sweet spot or angle to hold the shears for it to work well. This could be due to still getting use to the equipment, but because of this I had to give it 4 stars. The shears did decrease my chicken break down time and were easy to clean. I’ll be using these a lot more in my future.
