High quality construction and has a great feel in my hands, it is bigger than expected so take a moment to measure your pots to see if this will work with them. I would have gotten the smaller size if I had done that since I can only use this with one of my pots now (my fault). the long handle is especially useful and makes the product a little safer if you are using it to collect food from fry oil, the extra length can really help cut down on burns from "oil popping".I recommend this product, and won't buy it again (because I fully expect it to last a lifetime).

Best spider design ever!
Realistically, I probably should have gone with the five inch spider. This thing is HUGE! But, considering I wanted it specifically for dealing with deep fried foods, draining stock, and bean retrieval (from soaking), it is exactly right. I particularly like the long long handle keeping me away from hot spattering oil and the fact it is securely welded to the basket. Quite sturdy and well made.Actually, I'll probably order the five inch one now for smaller stuff.

7'' refers to diameter of basket, not handle!
This appears to be well made, however i do have some issue with the strainer. It is simply much too large for me. I only own one pot that it will fit in, which is my stewing pot (for making broth/stock/etc). I did buy this to grab noodles out of a pot - however for me it will be useless for that purpose. I would have likely been better off with the 5'' one, but that one is currently sold out.
