Great storage containers
I am really happy with this purchase. It is easy to use. I buy fresh fruit all the time, but they go bad really quick. I use it for berries, especially for raspberries because they usually last less than a week, but this container keeps them fresh longer. It seals the lid very nicely, great sizes, and good price. It does exactly what it says it does, and this is exactly what I was looking for and it does exactly what it says it does. I highly recommend

Measurements are misleading and wrong
I did everything I could, including an exhaustive chat with Rufus, in order to find out what the dimensions of this Large Rectangular Glass storage container for vacuum-sealing were...to no avail. The best that I could figure out was that the two measurements given, 9 inches long by 3 inches high, would have to be at least 7 inches in width, going by it's relative size compared to the larger of the two divided glass containers in the set of 8 that was on sale for Black Friday. This review is not about how well these seal or keep food fresh, this is in response to the deceptive measurements given for this product. After all, knowing what size the containers are is one way to know if they will work for you, and are a good value for the price, etc.I just received the extra one of the largest size, that I ordered separately and in addition to the set of 8, since, based on what I was specifically told (full disclosure: by Rufus). I bought this for storing my Romaine lettuce leaves, which I clean and leave whole.Well, first off, I asked for it to be shipped in Amazon packaging, because this is glass, after all, and I know the packages aren't always handled with appropriate care. It came in a plain, thin, plastic bag, not even one with extra padding. Unbelievable, considering some of the things that I have received in a huge box, that I couldn't have damaged with a hammer.Secondly, and most important: This item is not at all the dimensions in inches that were given. It turns out that it is NO larger than the dimensions of the larger of the two split-compartment containers. Instead of just giving the same measurement as for the one it resembles, except for not being split, they gave the approximate measurement of the lid for the length, which is, after all, a good deal larger than the container it is supposed to fit over, and the height given was for both the container and the lid. All the other measurements shown are for just the glass containers, as they should be, but if you look carefully (which I didn't realize until now), the line showing the measurement for this container is actually not at all the same as the others, and is, I feel, deliberately misleading. Turns out that 1480ml, in ounces, is just barely over 50 ounces, or 6.2 cups in volume. I'm so annoyed that I am returning both this one and the set that I ordered. I shouldn't have to go through all of this for a product that is being sold in a place where imperial measurements are the norm, not metric. And let's face it - 1480ml sounds a lot larger than 6.2 cups, or even 1.48 liters instead of the 1480 ml in the advertisement. But if imperial measurements had been given, I would have known that these would not work for what I needed, and I could have gone on to hopefully find what I was looking for.
