10 stars! Just what I wanted for our Motorhome. The microwave is above the stove, and I was worried about hot liquid would spill on me when getting a heavy bowl out of the microwave. The four snaps on the sides are wonderful for keeping the lid on the bowl and it also has a vent.
Great products but only complaint is that they do not sell 4 packs anymore.
Best suited for travel. It's bright and distinctive, so you won't lose it easily. It's lightweight, so it won't be a burden. It's less likely to spill than a disposable cup from a coffee shop, and anywhere you have hot water or a microwave you can use this to prepare drinks and snacks. If you can get yourself a "meal in a can" of some kind, this should be just about the right size for it.But do inspect it's condition carefully before you hit the road. Mine's held up well so far, but I don't like the way those clips fold. There are no hinges, just creases in the plastic, and I think that's the part that will fail first.You might want to avoid using a metal fork. It will scratch the plastic, making it harder to keep hygienic.
I don't have full kitchen access & I am a klutz at accidentally breaking things so I usually only keep plastic things like bowls & cups around me. This large lidded cup/bowl serves me great for my morning tea/coffee, for microwaving my canned soups & chilis. The vented lid lets enough steam thru so that it doesn't pop off with food splattered all over the place during microwaving and the lid keeps the heat concentrated inside the cup to hurry cooking the food. The lid keeps my liquids from splattering all over when I'm eating/drinking while moving with it and working on my laptop. It's great for my morning ramen noodles soup with Trader Joes mini pork wantons, boiled eggs, shrimps & lots of green onions & spinach. Protein & veggies in a hot soup during late fall & all winter cold days which is a lot cheaper than ordering out. I even make jello with cut fruits in these large bowls as well as microwave minute rice in them, The cup/bowl5 makes cooking certain foods like these very fast & convenient, esp for one person.
I have an oversize ceramic cup that I use at home to heat soup and chili etc. However I travel a bit for work and don't like to always eat out, so I bought this cup to take the place of the ceramic one when I travel.This worked out perfect! It holds the same amount and can be easily cleaned. I like the color, I haven't noticed the plastic getting stained by tomato products and the top has four clasps that hold the top on easily, as well as a vent in the middle of the top.This was just what I was looking for and I will definitely be taking it on trips in the future.
It is smaller than stated. It is perfect for heating soup in the microwave and eating a storing the leftovers. Easy to use. Too soon to rate durability.
These bowls work great at a very reasonable price and are well constructed. Will buy again!
