Don't sleep on this.

I own two of these woks. My first 13.4" Hong Jiang wok was a Christmas present. I seasoned it easily and have used it for seven months with great performance on my gas stove and no sticking. It's not too heavy and I appreciate having the cover and helper handle, and it cleans well. In fact I love it so much that I've just bought another 13.4" for my summer place!These woks are workhorses, they are not refined, fancy cookware. I would not sweat any little flaws; if you really cook Chinese food it will not matter, it will become a well used pan and probably look like one (patina in my eyes). The important thing is that delicious food comes out of this wok, it takes the heat of my open burner range but also simmers beautifully.I chose this size because my ventilation is best on the rear burner, so before ordering I verified that I could center the wok there. The 13.4 was the largest I could fit; I cook for two or three and I think it is the perfect size for me, especially if noodles are involved!I highly recommend, it's a great product.

I use this woke for large rice and noodle dishes. Holds enough for 8 diners. Super for jambalaya and Mongolian stir fry. Easy to hand wash and dry. Works on induction, electric, or gas stoves. Best to dry after washing as rust spots will form if left to evaporate.

Handles are not metal—-update from buyer

Returned this wok today. The two handles that are bolted onto the wok are some form of plastic. Then on one side there is wood attached onto the plastic handle and then on the other side a long screw where you put the wood handle over the screw to screw into the plastic part that is bolted onto wok. If you get the wok really hot and either side of the plastic that is bolted onto the wok cracks or breaks, there is no way to fix it. Therefore you will not be able to use it. I didn’t try cooking in it, since I felt I would be returning it, so I don’t know how the actual wok cooks food.******update about handles bolted onto wok, they say it is an aluminum alloy, so I just wanted you all to know that. It is not in the description, so I was wrong!****
