No complaints. Easy to fill and ice balls comes out of container with no issues. Will not leak if top halves are positioned correctly. So far quality appears good. Nice design and I like the shape of the ice.
These ice cubes are great
Since there are no clear instructions on how to use this, I had to look at the pictures to figure out how to fill the molds. Each sphere has a small spout to pour the water in, so I recommend using a measuring cup to avoid spilling so much water. Once the water has frozen, it's easy to take the sphere out of the mold.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Fun and easy to make. Pop out easily and great for drinks. Just the right size to keep drinks cold for an hour. I made some cubes with just mango juice. Worked great! Would buy again.
At last, I find a sphere that works perfectly! Easy to pop out the ice, unlike others. Easy to fill, much unlike others. The top solidly snaps on with a satisfying click. Fill to the line, it expands when frozen to make a solid orb. Also, any slop of water when filling just rolls off, no indentation to hold the water and form slag ice. I like the size too, not so big that a highball glass is full, (although that is good for whiskey and I do like my big square ones for that) this is right for mixed drinks to my mind.
I bought these ice molds thinking they'd be a novel drink effect with a perfect ice ball in your glass vs. the common cubes. They're smaller than I expected (my own miscalculation) and they're difficult to remove from the mold as the tiny funnels fill when the water freezes (water expands when it freezes). So it creates an anchor with the top section when you try to remove the ice ball. Then you're left with either melting that ice anchor or trying to snap it off at the neck. The solution would be to under-fill the molds, then when they freeze they'd fill the void (at least in theory). My second gripe is that the ice balls are not perfect spheres, you end up with an equatorial ridge around the ball. This ridge doesn't disappear when the ball melts, but the melting ball distorts into something not unlike a misshapen cube. So I would not buy these again, perhaps I'd go for a larger diameter mold equipped with removable fill funnels.
Easy to use, but takes a bit of practice to get those perfect round balls. They are also a tiny bit smaller than I would like.
