Gorgeous knife that makes food prep effortless
Gorgeous knife! Even with the imperfections I can spot at an initial glance, I love the fact that they add to the charm of the knife itself. Light, comfortable to hold, and incredibly sharp. As someone who has done that darnedest to sharpen the same cheap knives I could afford ten years back, it’s nice to finally have a knife that makes cutting, slicing, and dicing feel utterly effortless. I look forward to using this knife for years to come (especially when the other knives I bought in the bundle).

Everyone compliments these knives
My wife is quite the chef, she absolutely loves preparing food and feeding people. Its her love language for sure. However our knives were dulling beyond sharpening (by hand anyways) and so I got her this and another one thats very similar. She uses them daily with no issues. When shes done, she immediately washes and dries them and stores them in this box which matches her boho theme. She has gotten rid of lots of our old knives and just uses these two anymore. I think that these are a great addition to our kitchen.. but they are extremely sharp. My wife had taco night this past tuesday and our daughters friends and their mom came over to help prep things, which was great but she cut herself and she said she didnt even notice until she noticed the blood dripping. It will slice right through you so beware! Its also very lightweight and (I dont say this lightly) gorgeous. The metals flow together so well, and the handle is very beachy. My wife says coastal but whatever. It is GORGEOUS. Id say they should be displayed but my wife likes to keep them clean and ready to use. Overall we're so happy we got these! Takes my wife half the time it normally wood to meal prep on Sundays!

Sharp, Stylish, and Surprisingly Close to my MAC Mighty
This review is for the following item: HOSHANHO Damascus Chef Knife 8 Inch, 67-Layer Damascus Super Steel Professional Kitchen Knife, Ultra Sharp Japanese Cooking Knives, Ergonomic Blue Resin Stabilized Wood Handle with Wood Gift Box. It cost $179.99 when I ordered it.I’m a wannabe chef and I really like working with sharp knives in my home kitchen. I’ve had a set of Sabatier knives for 45 years, and last year I bought a MAC Mighty MTH-80. Honestly, I figured this new knife might match the Sabatiers but probably wouldn’t compete with the MAC Mighty. To my surprise, I like it just as much as the MAC Mighty.Right out of the box, this thing was razor sharp—I shaved hair off the back of my hand with no effort. It sliced tomatoes into paper-thin sheets, chopped peppers and onions smoothly, and breezed through fresh herbs. Food does stick a little more than on the MAC Mighty, but far less than on my Sabatiers. I can’t speak to long-term edge retention yet, but if it dulls quickly or doesn’t sharpen well, I’ll update this review. The handle took me by surprise. I’m used to traditional Western-style handles, but this knife has an octagonal Japanese-style one. Turns out, I love it—it’s comfortable and gives me excellent control. There’s even a small cutout at the end of the blade where my forefinger naturally rests, which makes the grip even better. I don’t know if it’s full tang (the seller doesn’t say) but based on the look I’d guess it’s partial tang.Aesthetically, it’s way flashier than my other knives. The half-blue, half-brown resin-stabilized wood handle looks unique, and the blade has etched designs that give it an exotic feel. The Santoku-style blade shape works well for chopping since it stays closer to the cutting board from tip to heel.A final touch that is very nice is the inclusion of a nice looking and well finished wooden box that holds the knife, and that is very nice if you intend to give this knife to someone as a gift.Overall, this knife impressed me: it’s beautiful, comfortable to use, and ridiculously sharp. The only reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars are the price and the likely lack of a full tang. For the money, I’d expect that. Still, it’s an excellent knife that’s earned a spot next to my MAC Mighty.

Sharp knife & more beautiful in person
This is a beautiful knife, even more so in person. The blue epoxy portion of the handle has a sparkle & shimmer too it that I didn't expect. And I love the copper streak in the Damascus steel blade. It's also incredibly sharp right out of the (also beautiful, wooden) box. I got this as a present for my wife, who is always reaching for our smaller knives. I think she feels it's easier to wield than larger 6-7" chefs knives. This was a much needed & appreciated upgrade. Now she has a knife that is the size she wants, that can actually cut, and is nice to look at when up on our magnetic wall mounted knife block. I am suspicious about the durability of the copper incorporated into the Damascus blade, but only time will tell. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and will consider other knives in this collection and from Hoshanho.

It's not worth the money.
Another China made product that probably costs penny on a dollar and sold to here for hundreds of dollars. It has no weight to it, so it's hard to keep a balanced hold on the handle. I am sure of it that the handle will eventually will go bad (due to it's cheap materials.) If you are into extremely flashy knives, go for it. Not for me. Returning them right away.
