This is a great product! I ordered 2 sets to do a taco bar on Christmas. All the items stayed cold (use ice in the bottom) and each compartment holds a lot of food! I will be using it as a salad bar next! I may even order a third one for additional salads and fruits! A great value!
Perfect for a taco bar, do not dishwasher though (my aunt accidentally did)
The item was as expected. Great value for the money and perfect for taco bar sides (lettuce, cheese, tomatoes). It was for a partially catered event and we ended up not needing it. The food was brought in containers and put on the table before I had a chance to transfer it. I would order it again and keep the item if we ever have another event that I could use it for. However I do not anticipate that happening anytime soon
This worked out very prettily for our Mother's Day luncheon. It kept the food cold and there wasn't any condensation on the island after. The containers are nice and deep, so they hold a lot! Easy to clean too, so that was a win. Overall great purchase.
Perfect for our taco bar. However, I didn't read carefully and put them on the top rack of the dishwasher and they warped and had to be thrown away. My fault. But I wouldn't even wash them in very hot water. They are a very thin plastic. The tops are much sturdier and I saved those for serving other things. I will buy another set because they worked so well.
I had intended to use this for a summer buffet outdoors but the weather didn't cooperate and we ate indoors. Thus, I didn't need the ice function under the serving compartments, but still had the compartments set in the base container. I made a salad bar, and this held 6 cut up tomatoes in 1 compartment, and the other 2 contained two cans of olives, and 2 cans of chick peas with room left over. I did not need to use the lids indoors (outdoors they would have been good for keeping the bugs out). The lids would be nicer if they had little handles but can still be lifted off as they are. The set could have other uses for make your own pizza, make your own ice cream sundaes... The compartments are generously sized, easy to clean, sturdy. This is a large piece overall so make sure you have storage space for it. I would purchase this again.
