Great quality set

This set arrived in a heavy box. Every piece was individually wrapped. They are very good quality and moderately heavy, have shiny hammered handles. That being said I was going to return them as this set is really not my style and I kind of knew that when I ordered, but it was a great deal..12 piece place settings PLUS the serving pieces. I decided to keep them because of the quality. The set I am replacing is thin and bends. The logo on the knife is discreet and placed near the hub of the handle.and will jot show on a properly laid table. They are made in Vietnam. I think I'll get used to the style, as it's a bit "busy" for me but not overly so. This is a very nice set, there are many styles within the Hudson brand to choose from, and we'll worth the cost. I think they will survive the test of time.

Stunning silverware

This is the prettiest silverware I've ever owned. I never thought I'd get so geeked to open my cutlery drawer. Its substantial in its heft, and the shape and size is easy on my carpal tunnel. With any shiny silverware you'll see water-spots but they shine up so easy in case you have guests. My sister in law commented the other night " gorgeous!" when she opened the drawer. The spots is a non-issue for me in everyday use, if it bugs you, get a matte finish. Highly recommend.

Beautiful set, feels great in hand; just too girly for me.

Though i'm returning this set, I wanted to remark on how nice it is and how many things they got right. I think it would be great for some because:- there are the perfect weight, not too heavy or light. not cheap feeling.- utensils feel great sitting in my hand. some of the most comfortable i have held.- finish seems high quality, they say 18/10, so should be durable.- logos are barely noticeable (thank you!) see pictures. on back of spoon and fork you can barely even see the Vietnam 18/10 stamp, it blends in and most won't see it. and knife has a likewise very subtle logo. very tasteful compared to what some companies do.So why am I returning? The shape of the handles has a more feminine look to me, and I've decided that glossy hammered utensils are too glittery in the light which makes them look girly. Only a matte finish hammered utensil will have the more natural and masculine look i'm going for.

Starting to rust

I love this flatware! The size and weight are gear BUT I have only had it for a month, and the knives are starting to rust around the edges. I have washed and dried it according to the manufacturers directions, but it appears that the dimple design of the handle prevented a good coating of the stainless and they are rusting around the edge. I have reached out to the manufacture regarding replacement knives. and will update my review when I receive a response.UPDATE:I reached out to the company and they responded promptly. It was obvious there was a defect in the manufacturing so they shipped me new knives to replace those that had rusted. I look forward to continued use of my silverware. This company was responsive and easy to work with! I am thankful for the replacements!
