These 20 x 32, 20 x 48, and 20 x 59 beige polyester and thermoplastic backed rugs were a good selection. The rugs' product description reads that they are "non-slip"...but I always try that out with running kids and zoomie-loving dogs that can slide into appliances. I put a good amount of force on the rug thinking that it was going to move a few feet. Nope. The backing is great. It does not look substantial, but it keeps the rugs in place.Material: The rug’s microfiber surface is soft for a low‑pile design. It feels great underfoot and has a nice texture. The spill‑resistant finish is a bonus, especially in high-traffic areas.Design / Style: The neutral distressed detailing pattern is designed to hide dirt and be versatile in pairing with other colors. It blends with different décor styles and adds space definition and warmth, as most rugs do, to your room.Backing: The non‑slip backing does its job well. Well Made but Very Lightweight Kitchen Rugs
This review is for the Hugear Brick Red 3-Piece Kitchen Rug Set, which sold for $39.99 at the time of my order. The set I selected includes three rugs measuring 20x32, 20x48, and 20x59. I was aware of these dimensions when ordering, and the sizes themselves were accurately described. However, in use, they feel quite small and somewhat oddly proportioned in my average-sized kitchen.The seller does offer larger versions of this set, but at a significantly higher price point. Given the lightweight construction of these rugs, I’m not disappointed that I didn’t order the larger sizes, as the cost would have been difficult to justify based on the quality I received here.These rugs are extremely low profile—essentially no pile at all—which does make them suitable for doorways. The edges are neatly sewn, and they appear well finished, so I expect them to hold up reasonably well to washing. That said, they are very thin and lightweight. One of the smaller rugs is light enough to roll up almost like a dish towel, and out of curiosity, I weighed it: the 20x32 rug weighs only about 11 ounces, which is surprisingly little for something intended to sit in front of a kitchen sink.For very specific uses—such as an RV, boat, or other small space where bulk is a drawback—these rugs might work just fine. In those settings, their low profile and finished edges could actually be an advantage. In a home kitchen, however, they lack the substance and weight I would personally expect for the price.That said, they are neatly made, lie flat, and appear likely to hold up well to regular washing. While they aren’t a good fit for every space, they’re well constructed for what they are, which is why I consider this a decent set with some limitations rather than a poor-quality product.
