I was looking for this kind of spoon and so glad I found it, especially since the color is what I needed. Perfect size and shape. It's very sturdy. Seems to have good quality so far. Works like I expected it to. Not too long or thick and makes it easy to cook and serve stews, spaghetti sauces and chili. Definitely recommend.
I have been looking for years to replace an avocado green spoon that is the mainstay in my kitchen and almost 50 years old. This spoon in not exact, however it is the right length for arthritic hands, is sturdy and does not bend, and does not scratch pans. There were no 'burs on the spoon' at all... very smooth construction. The Cobalt Blue color is as depicted and after using the spoon for a couple of weeks now, I know I will be buying more. It does not flex at all when breaking up meat in a pan... very sturdy. It came wrapped in plastic with a sticker on the back of the spoon which peeled and washed off easily. I have hand washed and washed in the top shelf of the dishwasher and no issue with water spots or color fade. I hoped this spoon would be a good first test and it passed my test.
I love these spoons. They are a lttle pricey at $9 and some change. But they are the perfict size, not to big, not to small. Very sturdy. The flat end provides a good spatula type of spoon. And it doesnt take up much space in the drawer. Love them so i bought 5 even though the price for them is high.
We lived in Seattle for a couple of years before moving back to MI. We bought some of these Gourmac/Hutzler utensils in Seattle and the couple we used quite frequently turned a faint "orange" color. They were WHITE utensils. I would never buy white again because we cook a lot of Italian dishes and the tomatoes were what stained them. However, they did last 14 years and the ones we still have that are white and are not used for pasta sauce still look brand new after 14 years. That is pretty commendable. I love the two black spoons we received from you and know they will last a long time. I wish they were easier to find. I really had to research this. They use to make them in a multitude of colors, I do not see that any more. My husband and I both love to cook and we could not be happier with these new black spoons, and, we do not have to worry about staining. The dishwasher does not harm them in any way. We put them on the top shelf. They are great and the shipping/customer service was timely and professional - Try them. Thank you to the seller...
I had one of these years ago but it got lost during a move. The other two utensils in the set I still have and use regularly (for ~30 years). Only recently discovered I could still get this spoon. What I like about it. 1. It doesn't bend or flex. 2. It has just the right amount of bowl to use as a serving spoon and yet one can still stir a pot and get all the way into the bend at the bottom of the pan. 3. I can use it on non-stick surfaces. 4. Handle is the right length for a lot of pans & dishes. Recommend anyone who is looking for these features should try one.
It's a very small spoon, too small to easily use with a 12" skillet or 4qt pot, but great for use with small pots (about 2 quarts) and 6" or 8" pans. Made by Hutzler in Thailand and has a rough ledge where you put your fingers on the back of spoon. Now that I have used it a few times, it's a pretty good spoon overall, just wish that I realized it's size before buying.
Great size for smaller serving portions. Love the color.
