These are great! No more toasted fingers trying to get that fat bagel out of the toaster! Everyone needs these. Lots of other uses, no more chasing pickles around the bottom of the jar! Use on serving trays for small hors d’oeuvres. Or adding extra olives to that before dinner martini. Unruly eyebrows! The list goes on! Somebody stop me!
These wonderful little tools are well made and come in such abundance, I was able to share with family. So many times I've had to unplug the toaster in order to use a metal knife to get my toast out. These tongs completely eliminate the nuisance and my inclination to try it without the safety measures.
These come in handy for lots of other things such as grabbing toast from a toaster. I've used them for frying and boiling certain foods. I've run them through a dishwasher with no deterioration of the bamboo. I use these all the time in my kitchen.
I got these to use as chopsticks and, for me, they work very, VERY well as chopsticks. These wooden tongs are much easier to use than traditional chopsticks because they're flat, they have a wider tip with ridges that help with gripping food, and it's attached at the top. And yes, the tips touch when closed.
Toast tongues have many uses besides preventing your electrocution from sticking a fork in the toaster to retrieve your toast. I love mine.
Not what I was hoping for, really only able to open the tongs wide enough for a piece of bread and some of them were not even very usable for that. Since they are advertised as toast tongs can't say they are not what was promised. Just don't expect more than picking up a piece of toast. Which may be useful for some.
