    Lightweight and Attractive; Some Condensation

    These buckets are attractive with the hammered look. The medium sizes work well as ice buckets (complete with scoop) or for housing drinks you want to keep cold. They are very light; I was expecting them to be heavier.As a test, I filled one with ice to see how it held up with condensation or the ice melting. Over about a 2 1/2 hour period, I checked it periodically to see if the sides were sweating and/or the ice was melting. It held up pretty well; however, there was condensation on the sides. You would want to have something under the bowls to prevent leakage. The ice lasted during that time with just a little melting.Overall, I like the look and the function of these bowls. They do a pretty good job of keeping ice cold, and they are attractive for serving drinks or other items for a meal or party.

    Just so so, but they are functional

    These stainless steel ice buckets look great at first glance and definitely add a polished, party-ready feel to a table. I purchased this 2-pack set for entertaining, and while they do the job in some ways, there are also a few drawbacks that kept this from being a higher-rated purchase for me.On the positive side, the appearance is a strong point. The hammered stainless steel finish looks attractive and upscale, and they photograph well for gatherings, parties, or special occasions. The size is generous—each bucket holds several bottles with ice, making them suitable for wine, beer, or bottled drinks. The included scoop is also a nice touch and convenient to have on hand instead of scrambling for utensils.However, performance-wise, these buckets are fairly average. While they keep drinks cold initially, the ice melts faster than expected, especially outdoors or in warmer environments. The metal does not provide much insulation, so if you’re planning a long event, you’ll need to refill ice more often than you might expect. This makes them better suited for shorter gatherings or indoor use.Another issue is durability. The buckets feel a bit thinner than anticipated, which makes them lightweight but also slightly flimsy. They don’t feel fragile, but they also don’t feel heavy-duty or premium for the price point. The handles work fine, but when the bucket is full, they don’t feel especially sturdy or comfortable to carry.Overall, these ice buckets are fine if you want something visually appealing for casual entertaining and don’t mind refreshing ice frequently. They’re functional, but not exceptional. For the price, I expected better insulation and a more solid, substantial feel. They’re okay—but not impressive enough to earn more than three stars.
