would be 5⭐s IF...
Sweet snowflake ice cube tray set, of 3 in an order.Strong sturdy plastic trays and lids alike. No mars, imperfections or deformities.3 in a set is a generous amount for this product which i like.households with multiple family members can benefit from an ample supply of ice cubes.I Think the size is ideal. Compactshould fit easily in a freezer space, even a mini freezerThe star shapes with geometric snowflakes grabbed my attention and made me want this.Value for rhe money is gr8 at around 10$ tor the 3 of them.Makes good size cubes as well and 12 per tray at a timeMy reason for giving it 4 not 5 stars is because i love the tray and lid combo idea. EXCEPT. the lid doesnt GRIP OR CLIP ONTO THE TRAY TO SEAL IN THE WATER.the design of this tray requires a FLAT service to position it on. Not every freezer can accomod8 this with other items in it. If it can will work gr8.But the lid NOT SNAPPING ONTO THE TRAY IS A DEAL BREAKER 4 ME.the LID SHOULD clip onto the lidinstead of just sitting on top for stackability which is nice but ifthe tray is pushed or bumped around B4 the water freezes u will have major spillage in there.good idea needs a tweak.also i wouldnt say its super easy to get cubes out by twisting and smushing like the old school way.id say dip the bottom into slightly hot water then extract the cubes when they loosen is the best method. or put lid on (hold it on🙄) and then bang it on counter to loosen cubesrecommending 7/10

Neat ice cubes
My ice maker died about a month ago, and after buying bags of ice got tiring, I decided I should just start making my own again, but I did away with my ice cube trays long ago, so I ordered these.Wouldn't you know that on the day this set arrived, I opened the freezer to find that my ice maker had decided to work again, and the bin was now full. So, I don't desperately need these ice trays anymore. But I tested out a tray anyway.Couple things to keep in mind. The trays make diamond-shaped cubes - twelve per tray, so a few less than the standard ice cube tray, and I think the cubes end up being a bit smaller. But, of course, you get three trays, so it's probably about the equivalent of having two standard trays.I love the diamond shape cubes. They slip easily into water bottles. And they're quite substantial - bigger than the cubes that come out of the ice maker. The trays don't bend all that well, so it's a little bit annoying removing the cubes. Also, there's a deep area above the sections, making it easy to overfill and end up with a block of ice. I like that they are a size that's easier to fit into a freezer with limited space, but if you stack them, they're going to take up quite a bit of room because of the gap between the top of the ice cubes and the lids. (But you could also make a big block of ice from this too to use in a punch or something, so that's kind of cool.Anyway, in all, I like them very much.

Little stiff and not snowflakes, but functional
These trays make diamond ice cubes, which are prettier than your normal tray but not really snowflakes out of the patterned tray. The tray is also a little stiff for me to get them out, but I manage, just a little harder than some other trays I have. I do like the lid as I have an irrational fear of stuff falling in my ice as it's freezing, but that could just be me. Overall have held up fine to date and function as they should.

fully stacking diamond trapezoids
The hexagon shaped ice cube trays make diamond trapezoid shaped ice cubes. There are three rigid trays and three rigid lids. The lids rest on top of the trays that way the trays can stack on top each other. For storage, the trays also stack inside each other. The trays are 6.5625 inches x 7.5 inches x 0.8125 inches. The ice cubes cavities are 2.25 inches x 1.3125 inches x 0.875 inches. It makes a fairly large ice cube. The diamond trapezoid shape's width lets me get ice into my small neck bottle that has a 1.75 inches interior diameter opening with room to spare. The trays are simple to fill due to their shape. I just move the tray in a circle. There are raised edges and channels on the top of the ice cube cavities to aid in getting the water level. The ice cubes are released by running water over the back of the trays. The cavities have deep grooves that let the water surround the entire cube. The release works the best when the tray is not overfilled. If there is extra water on top that joins all the ice cubes together in one big sheet, it does not release as well, since there are no grooves that the water can get to above the cavity. They will eventually release and not be stuck inside. It is easy to tell if there is too much water when filling because the clear lid will press against the water and you can see it.I like the way the trays stack in the freezer and the footprint they take up. With the hexagon ice trays, I also don't lose any wasted space, because I can put anything on top of the trays while it is freezing. Even better is that I don't have to twist and twist to get ice out, which usually damages the tray overtime. It also makes it easy for people with limited dexterity in their hands to make ice cubes. The quality and value for a long lasting user friendly ice cube tray is worth it.

The okay-est ice cube trays I've used in awhile.
Most ice cube trays I usually see promoted are silicone, but these are just the same as the old school blue/white trays except their clear. Feels like the same plastic at least...and are just as difficult to get out. Perhaps more so.They do NOT release easily, though they are nice-sized cubes. The trays don't twist easily either and the only way to loosen the cubes (rhombuses?) is to flip them upside down and use the sink to spray some warm water on the bottom.Thankfully, the covers enable this part so you don't lose ice, and those covers DO come in handy to stack multiple trays at once. But beyond that...not the best ice cube trays I've used. Just...OK.
