Looking for consistent results using the scale.
Instructions are included for creating a pour-over cup of coffee. We often make pour-over for ourselves when we camp or travel. We've used a scoop to measure the coffee and a mug to measure the water. This will be our first experiment making pour-over using a coffee scale. The print is small and the instructions seem complicated. I was able to view some websites with videos to better understand the sequence and timing of brewing a pour-over coffee.I checked the website listed at the beginning of the manual, but found no way to view in English.I thought I liked strong coffee, but the video-recommended ratio of 30 grams coffee to 350 grams water was stronger than I cared for while drinking it black.I'll certainly be adjusting the amount of coffee to water ratio to please our pallet and with this tool, I'll be able to achieve more consistency from cup to cup.I do like the feature that automatically zeros the scale when the brewing aparatus is placed on the scale.Metal and glass on the outside. Solid feel. The scale is accurate according to the 100 gram weight included in the kit. I also tested with some old-school weights ranging between 25 and 500 grams and found each to be within a tenth of a gram if not right on.The scale is also small enough to travel with us on our journeys making it more likely to be useful for brewing our morning coffee.

Definite get what you pay for; both quality and function aspects.
It works, but it definitely works like a $30 scale instead of $100 scale. In general, it works. it's accurate for the weight it measured. However,1. it turns on and off somewhat randomly when I touch or move it; even though I am careful not touching the off "touch button".2. Similarly, it reset and zero out randomly. I wanted to weight the exact amount of grind going into portafilter, but often after I zero out portafiliter weight, while grinding and WDT the grind, it will reset the zero, which in terms lost the zero out empty portafilter weight.3. Automatic timer for espresso is not working accurately; nearly useless. It usually does not start the timer until at least 1 to 1.5 g of espresso is already coming out, resulting in measure error up to 3~4 second each time. (that's 10% error since my pull time for 40g is about 30 seconds....making this automatic feasure pretty much useless)4. Instruction manual is not helpful. I figured out how to turn it on and use the scale pretty much through trial-and-error. Instruction manual is more misleading than helpful.So....does it work as a scale? Yes. Does it feel like it's going to last, No. Is the automatic function useful? No. overall...well, it's $30 so I can't complain too much.

Unintelligible manual
The manual is so poorly written and almost gibberish , obviously by some china person who thinks they know English, that the scale itself is almost unusable. I hope to try and figure it out but this china crap is pitiful.

Special modes make the scale unusable
The software on this scale is so awful. I hate using this thing. It just screwed up another cup because I just barely moved the dripper in between pours. In pourover mode If the weight goes down for any reason, then the scale stops weighing and stops the timer. It thinks it’s being helpful by automatically stopping, and there is no way to recover. So the first cup I tried to make, I did the bloom and tried to do a swirl and the scale just stopped doing its job. So you are left winging it, trying to guess at the rest of the weight and time left in the brew. Okay, lesson learned, no swirling, I’ll try again. This time there was some coffee stuck to the edge of the filter. Trying to brush it off was enough to confuse the scale and trigger the auto stop, just a minute into the brew. Uhg. In espresso mode the scale automatically tares itself, so it makes it hard to weigh beans, because it will try to tare itself as you are weighing. So if you want to put it in normal mode, you have to double tap the touch button. And then to get it back to espresso mode you have to double tap to put it in p1 mode, double tap again to put it in p2 mode, then double tap once more to get back to espresso mode. So 8 taps to shuffle back and forth between the modes. BUT, the button only seems to register the double tap maybe 2/3rds of the time. So you literally have to tap the button ten or twelve times to weigh your beans and then get back to brew mode. Its just painful. So i thought I would just give up on the auto modes and just use it in the basic mode. But the flow rate graph only works in the brewing modes for some reason! The flow rate graph was the only reason I choose this scale over the vast competition. The bar graph averages too fast anyways, and it is useless even in the brew modes. Such a shame. The hardware seems nice enough otherwise, but it just feels like whoever made this never actually tried to use it.

Pretty good
The intelligent mode is a bit finicky when it comes to timing/weighing the shots. I find myself using it more for basic scale functions. It might work better in P1 or P2 mode, but I used E mode for espresso shots only. (When I was brewing espresso shots, the gram weight of the shots were going up, but the timer didn't start until late! It was very weird.) The other modes are for pour-over drinks.

Portion control!
I got this scale to test my assumptions in how much portions of the food weight. It is not always possible to measure in cups and spoons. I am watching what I eat right now, and I wanted to know exactly. You will be surprised how in denial one can be :) I like this help for my portion control, easy to use/ Absolutely love that the scale is rechargeable, big win! Enjoying my food prep even more now.

Accuracy to the tenth of a gram!
So I found myself in the need of a more accurate digital food scale as my existing scale was only accurate to the nearest gram. When trying to dial in my new expresso machine I found it very difficult to get consistent pulls as I didn't know if I had 17.0 grams or 17.9 grams. With this scale I now know, and my pulls are more consistent than ever. I can't wait to use the time and weight functionality of this scale. I'll update this review once I've finally used that function. Right now, I only pull by volume, not weight or time.
