This is the sharpest cleaver I have ever had. It handles every cutting and chopping chore with ease. It is well constructed and I am completely satisfied with it.
Gave this cleaver to my mom for Christmas and she can't stop talking about it! It's super sharp and she uses it almost nightly for making dinner. The high-carbon stainless steel doesn't rust or discolor.
This knife arrives amazingly sharp, right out of the box. It has solid weight, a nice thick spine, and a firm handle, making it your go-to knife for just about any cutting, slicing or chopping task in your kitchen. This knife is a workhorse, and when finished, is easy to clean. It'll cut through an entire roast effortlessly, or through a rack of beef ribs. I was skeptical that a knife at this price-point would compare to the "famous cutlery brands" - but this champ is right there with the best of them. Skip the fancy, expensive name-brand knives, and try this instead. You'll save a ton of money, and get a great, everyday knife that should last you for years.
I was told by Amazon AI that this cleaver could handle chicken bones - but this is not the case. Cutting leg bones for stock rolled the edge. Smaller rib bones would be okay.Very sharp and great for cutting soft meats, veggies, etc. - but do not hack away like you see some Asian street chefs doing in food travel shows.
