Quality prodcut through and through.
I use this to make cowboy coffee everyday and I love it.The things I like:The handle seems to be solidly attached. It is well crafted. The edge of the handle has a nice bevel all the way around so it doesn't feel like it's cutting into my fingers. The handle has a nice curve to it that makes it's small size easy to hold.It cleans up really easily and quickly.I have big hands and at first I was afraid I was going to end up cutting myself while cleaning the inside but that has yet to happen. Just like the handle it has a nice beveled edge to it.Things I don't like:The pour spout is for right handed people and I'm left handed. (It still gets 5 stars though)Things I've changed my mind on:At first I wanted it to be about 50% bigger but over time I've grown to like the size.My impression is it will hold up well, which is a good things as i tend to be pretty tough on my things.Like I said in the first sentence, I use it everyday to make coffee and I'm very glad for this purchase. At one point or another I've probably owned close to every kind of coffee maker there is out their and this is now my go to method. (Unless I'm in a hurry and then I use my Aero Press.)Tips I've learned for making cowboy coffee to keep it from boiling over:Sometimes i use 1 scoop of coffee and sometimes I use 2 scoops.I add water up to about 3/4 of an inch from the top.Set the flame on low. Usually I put it on very low. When I don't I still turn it down to very low as it starts to bubble around the edges.Lift the pot off the burner just before it bubbles over the top and as the bubbles recede put back on the very low flame. Continue doing this until the coffee grounds and sink to the bottom and it will no longer bubble over.Leave it on for 2 more minutes.Pour through an Aeropress.
