Nice, rich looking Acacia wood end grain cutting board. I did oil the board with a combination product of bees wax and olive oil and it deepened the color and vibrancy. The size is perfect for my island, vegetables won’t go flying off this cutting board!
Honestly, larger and nicer than I really need. I bought cheapo plastic boards and use those much more...Cause I totally don't have enough plastic in my body already...This wood board is very pretty.
Our old board was larger, and had metal handles on both ends. That said, it was heavy! And I got tired of lugging it over for large items and roasts. Our new board is the perfect size. Fits just right on the counter for sandwich making, has the rim to catch juices from slicing tomatoes, and weighs less! Maybe it’s the end cuts - or the 1” all around. It’s lighter and easy to move, but lays flat and sturdy when I have to press down cutting squash. Very happy with this board.
Purchased this cutting board to replace another one that we had for over 10 years. This one looks great, seems very solid and works like it should. The only issue I have is that it 'rocks' a little sitting on top of my counter. The previous one didn't. Otherwise, we do enjoy it.
This board appears to be sturdy and well made but cutting on it left deep marks/scratches. It's a pretty board but I don't want it to decorate my kitchen, I need something that can stand up to regular use. I would not buy it again.
This was my first purchase from Amazon warehouse. I did extensive research on wooden cutting boards, in an effort to make our home less toxic. This cutting board was highly recommended by numerous Profesional chefs, but the price was quite high (IMO). But, I scored this board on Amazon's warehouse for a reasonable price!! It was listed as like new condition. When it arrived, there were a few scratches and was definitely in need of a good oiling (I also reviewed a food safe mineral oil). After being cleaned and oiled, the board looks absolutely fantastic! My husband even commented it was too pretty to use lol. We've used it to cut multiple different foods without any issue. It cleans and dries nicely. Because it's acacia, it'll need to be oiled about once per month to keep it protected. This is worth the effort to us, as we were able to eliminate our plastic cutting boards and incorporate a healthier swap to our daily lives. I would buy this board again at full price, if needed. That's how great it is! The juice channel and physical size are also huge bonuses.
