I've never used any other potholders or anything else to remove things from a hot oven since purchasing these. I also bought a pair for a friend who bakes all the time and she also has given up all of her potholders and uses only the gloves now. They give you more control than a mitt and come up high enough that i feel less likely to burn my wrists. Great present for bakers in your life.
This is the second pair of JH Heat Resistant gloves that I have purchased. I liked the pair in my travel trailer so much that I purchased a pair for my home. While not quite as easy as slipping on mitts, these gloves are still big enough to get onto my hands in seconds.The fingers and thumb area of the gloves is long, so make sure you take care with the extra fabric that extends beyond your fingertips, and really "feel" the item you are moving. I show a photo of the excess fabric, about one inch longer than my pinky finger inside the glove. I have fairly long hands for a woman.Also, I was sliding in the oven rack after removing a hot pan, and noticed that there is no silicone heat protection on the inside edge of thumb and forefinger. I show another photo of that area so you can take extra care not to grab or push hot items using that specific area!Overall, I love these gloves and the choice of two sizes and multiple color schemes. Additionally, in my experience, oven gloves are far superior to mitts in most cases, as it is easier in gloves to feel and fit around surfaces of dishes both with and without handles.I recommend these gloves.
I have very small hands and expected these gloves to be big. They were, but not horrible. They work well and handled the heat without problems.The cuff, however is quite small in relation to the size of the glove. They fit me fine, but are not easy to slip on and off. A large-handed person might find them unusually difficult to get on and off quickly, which is what I need when cooking!Mixed bag, but useful.

These are meant to fit "all" but I guess my hands are overly large or something. Gloves of this sort should be easy to put on and take off and so should be much larger especially with the stiffness of the glove. This glove will only fit the petite hand. This makes for more protection from the heat but did not work well for me. You can feel the tackiness of the glove but because they were difficult to put on I never used them so I don't know how long that will last.
Bought these to use, mainly, with an air fryer that has a rotating "cage". The unit has a metal device with two arms, that allows you to remove the (400 F) cage when the food is ready, but you have to then take the lid off the cage, to access the cooked food. So, I got these gloves because I wanted gloves with fingers, which give you more dexterity than mitten oven gloves (which I already own).When you put them on, they feel a bit odd because they seem, almost, to have two quite separate layers. It feels as though you're slipping your hand into the inner layer, and the outer layer (the colorful part, with small silicone gripping patches) feels kind of loose, as though the two layers aren't attached. However, the gloves work very well. Heat resistance is excellent, and they do provide reasonable dexterity. I can remove the top of the cage, lay it aside, and then empty the hot food onto a plate, all very easily.
These gloves keep my hands safe from burns. They are easy to use and I love them!
