Well Made & Versitile Product For Meat Tenderizing- Dishwasher Safe All Stainless Steel.
I am a carnivore and enjoy devouring beef, pork, and lamb especially, but with prices going up like a Patriot Missile, have to employ economy by purchasing less expensive (and tougher) cuts of meat. Seeing this JAVAR- "Stainless Steel Produce Holder & Meat Tenderizer," was purchased for exclusive tenderizing without hestitation, and most pleased with the results. I refrain from using "Chemical Meat Tenderzing Products," and this device fits with bill perfecty, especially with cuts as Chuck, Pot Roast, Beef & Pork Shanks, and so forth. Amazing results that convert these lesser grade (and CHEAPER) cuts into steak and tenderloin quality. Dishwasher safe, ergonomically designed, and durable makes this a WINNER: Well Done Amazon!For produce lovers (which I am not) this product yields uniform slices for items as: onions, tomatoes, legumes, root vegetables, assorted fruits etc., and thus can make a salad to look like a work of art. One LOOKS at artistic pieces but DOES NOT EAT THEM!Update: Had to buy another unit as the "Better Half"- wanted one for Exclusive Use For Plant Based Agricultural Products. I wish I had purchased this item sooner.It's a game changer in the kitchen.I tried it with an onion and it saved so much time.It's safer and more consistent than cutting traditionally.The only improvement I would recommend is to provide sheath to place over the ends.The ends are sharp and pointy as they need to be.I would feel a little better about placing it into my kitchen cutlery and utensil drawer so as not scratch any other items and to prevent myself from scratching / cutting my fingers if I grab by the wrong end.If you decide to make a sheath for it, please let me know so I can purchase one.I will definitely recommend this to friends.

A Useful Food Slicer to Have in Your Kitchen.
This is a nice, inexpensive slicing device for onion slices, apples, bananas, carrots, etc.The prongs make it easy to get reasonably even slices if you can keep your hands & knife straight.Also used to tenderize meat.Cleanup is easy.Safety in use does require attention as do so many pointy things in a kitchen.A mandoline can do a more accurate job but costs more, is harder to set up, harder to clean and can be dangerous because of its sharp edges.
