Super non-stick, but I have questions about durability
I’m very impressed with this nonstick pan. I cooked French toast in it using coconut oil and it was the slipperiest pan I’ve ever cooked on. It’s intended for crêpes and includes a wooden spreader for spreading the crepe batter, but it also works great for frying shallow items like eggs and French toast. Do be aware, though if you use lots of oil that the shallow sides will not keep in splashes. This pan is like any other nonstick pan. You cannot heat it empty, or it will damage the pan. I have another titanium pan and this is a very different. The coating appears to be sprayed on rather than a hammered metal or some other solid surface finish. So I still have questions about durability. Although this finish is harder to scratch, there are still warnings about not using metal utensils, or rough pads to clean it.So overall, I’m very pleased with this pan, but I do have concerns about the long-term durability of the finish. Will it last longer than my other nonstick pans, or will it have a similar lifespan. It will take a year or two to tell.I like this pan very much, but my concerns about long-term durability caused me to give it a four star rating.
